(1 star=hated it) Trailer park disguised as an RV Park. The woman at the front desk was nervous when we arrived. She came outside to greet us before we could get to the front door. It turned out it was her first day on the job. She politely let us know that our pup couldn’t come inside. No problem at all. I took him back to the coach and Damien headed inside to get us checked in. Walking in the front door, I was startled by the 6 foot tall Trump cut out with a small parade flag scotch taped to his hand. On the wall directly behind this ghastly sight were autographed pictures of him and his wife. Undeterred, I continued to the desk and looked at Damien like, “did you see that?” The rate was cheap and the uniqueness of the property made me want to stay. I chatted with the guy in the office as Damien got the paperwork situated with the woman behind the desk. As we finished up, the owner, I presume, came in. There was a sudden chill in the air, as though a dangerous ghost had just floated in. The two employees stood up straighter, as if being inspected. Their voices started to quiver a bit as they spoke. The guy saw us to our spot on his golf cart and we asked him where the dump was since we didn’t have one at our site. He gave Damien some directions and we drove within the property to find the dump. We couldn’t find it. We drove the horse area and back up toward our spot. As we turned the corner, we saw the uptight woman and the friendly man on a golf cart, barreling our way. Damien pulled over to get them to stop so we could ask for directions for the dump again and stop they did. The woman started yelling, asking what we were doing over here. Her exact words? “You stay where I put you.” Well, this sent me off the deep end. This suddenly seemed personal. We drove back to our spot and on the way, I told Damien that if she came to our spot, I was going to give her a piece of my mind. She did. And I did. Her friendly assistant acted as though he had no clue why we would be “gallivanting” through the property. Apparently, the owner didn’t have a dump available. But, she didn’t want to tell us that. After a solid argument, I said, “he is the one who told us where to go to dump!” She leaned in as though now we were friends and countered, “Really? He told me he didn’t when I asked him.” I guess she’d had enough of the argument and saw I was not willing to back down and finally walked back to the golf cart. The guy said something under his breath and I put both my hands up and said something like, “So, what? Are we good or not?” She said yes and took off on her golf cart. This is not a good place to work or to stay obviously. The woman in charge gets along with whom she likes and conflicts with those she does not. (Point proven in her response below. THIS is NO WAY to speak about your guests, regardless of their experience.) The grounds themselves were fine. Not dirty and not fancy. *In rebuttal to the owners comment: We are genuinely nice people and did not feel the need to complain to a person who we thought was another guest walking by us as we walked our pup. We got along with everyone there, except the female owner. We definitely didn't leave a mess at the "dump station," which btw has no water for rinsing anything just a heads up. Plus, there wasn't a designated dump. Their dump is actually another site's dump, which is why management was so sketchy about where to dump when we first arrived. We didn't ask to extend our stay. We booked 2 nights and left. And last, it took me a while to put this review up on Google. However, this review is several other places as well. We are in quite a few RV groups and use a couple of apps to find the best locations as we took our first 90 day road trip. So, I made sure to leave this review as many places as possible, so no one else had to deal with this kind of attitude. What an even more rotten way to end the experience. Please consider another place before booking here.

I have had to change my arrival twice. Once by an extended period. Jan was understanding and awesome. Staff, Courtney and Jacob, are terrific. The park is well maintained, quiet and beautiful. If available, I’ll definitely return next year.

This is my response to a very very nasty and very childish owner who's name is Jan. Do not pay by check as they talked me in to and we can't get our money back. We gave more than 30 days and it just doesn't matter. Jan is very desperate for money. It's sad but be careful of this RV Park. Jan is Jekyll and Hyde. First; To begin with, we as consumers shouldn't have to give a "DOCTOR'S NOTE"?? WOW!!! What are we, in grade school?? Good Lord!! And I gave them more than 30 days notice, Jan wouldn't let me talk when I called, and you hung up on me, and wouldn't call me back, and wouldn't answer my calls. More than 30 days is normal. It just shows how desperate and childish this whole situation is. Grow up and if someone doesn't use their RV spot then give them their money back. Very easy.

Second: We parked in lot 53 and we couldn't open our awning as there's trees in the way. We told u and you didn't do anything. We were only gonna be there for a very short time so we just let it go. We were parked between two very old old junky campers and was glad to be away out of that spot.

Third: We rolled our deposit in to the fall season and you asked us what lot we wanted and we said, lot 91. Its wasn't any bigger but didn't have trees in the way.

Forth: If someone can't return for any reason you should return their money. A 30 day notice is a reasonable time and you had plenty of time to re-rent that spot. DO NOT PAY BY CHECK!! There is no recourse and you lose your money!!! Good luck!!

Not sure what’s up with Wickenburg AZ but this is the second RV park that we’ve had a really difficult time with. They won’t refund a $580.00 deposit. Why? Not sure? We canceled more than 30 days in advance. Jan the owner was really nasty and hung up on me and wouldn’t call back or answer. We stayed for a month with few problems. We weren’t able to put our awning out as the spots are close and tight. We decided we’d like to go back in November 23. We rolled our deposit ($580) till then. And we were told the trailer would be $100 a month by one person and $50 a month by Jan. When we left we owed an electric bill but no one was around to tell us how much. One of the girls in the office told us they would take it out of our deposit and we could deal with it in the fall. Mind you, we didn’t sign anything. We called to cancel for November 2023 and called three times and asked to be called back. They didn’t call us back. Finally on our forth call on September 27th 2023 the owner Jan answered and I explained we were not going to able to be there in the fall as one of us was sick and asked for our deposit back. And she didn’t care if we were sick or not. Jan got really nasty and said no refunds on deposits. I tried to talk and she kept talking over me and said I signed it and no refunds. I didn’t sign anything!! She hung up on me and absolutely no response from them. My recommendations are, don’t pay with a check. That’s how they get you. Jan the owner should not deal with people at all WOW! What a Jekyll and Hyde. So for Horspitality is only for horses and not people. And they don’t allow any...

My husband and I are full time RVer’s and use Horspitality as our home base in the winter. We love the location of the park, just out of town on the south side so it’s easy to head towards Surprise/Phoenix. The park itself is clean and well maintained. The roads in the park got replaced a few months ago. Trees get trimmed back as needed and leaves get cleaned up. The bathrooms, rec room and laundry need a code which adds to the security of the park. There are plenty of washers and dryers and cost about the same as laundromats in town. The sites are very roomy. Many sites have screen rooms or sitting rooms set up. The dog park has real grass and they provide doggie bags and trash cans. There is also a path on the south end of the park and you can also walk down by the horse pens. We don’t keep horses, but the pens are roomy, have shade, and a riding ring. The park itself gets decorated at the holidays which is super nice and festive. The park celebrates Christmas and Thanksgiving with a pot luck dinner. The owner provides the turkey and the guests bring side and desserts! The staff is friendly and will help with any issue. We get deliveries here no problem. Bingo happens in the Rec room weekly as does coffee and donuts. Many people staying bring ATV’s. There’s BLM land out the back gate for riding, ATV’s or horses/mules. Group rides are coordinated by the folks staying here. Different events in town are advertised at the park. They always have different events/acitivities between this park, Flying E, and the town. The Christmas parade is fun and Gold Rush Days is a great mix of rodeo, carnival and craft fair! We’ve stayed here for several years now, in different sites and different rigs. The ladies working the office are always accommodating to the best of their abilities. They pick up your empty propane tanks and deliver them back to your site! They also have the best price on propane around! The people staying here vary from year round residents to snow bird retirees that have been coming down for 20 years. Some sites are permanent homes or RV’s and others are for shorter stays. We like being out of the Valley, but we are close enough for easy day trips. Same with trips to Prescott, easy and beautiful day drive. We highly recommend this park and love staying here! As full time RVers this one of the nicest parks...
