Two stars because if you’re looking for a swim there is a 20% chance you’ll find access. Hiking was nice but we were planning on a dip. Be advised this place is good for seeing the canyon rocks around the lake but difficult to find the beach. Upon arriving we did meet a family that said they had found the small beach pretty easily over the rocks. We followed where they had come from, no beach. We walked the other way and saw more people who were also looking for the beach. In the end we were so hot and almost super lost (it took awhile to find our way back) that we decided to go back. Besides the one family who found the beach we met three others who had failed to find it. This isn’t a small scrabble over rocks either; we were there about 1.5 hours. It’s a big area. We sure didn’t cool off here haha. It is a fun place to climb around and see the rock layers. But for swimming, just go to lake Powell docks or a hotel. If you do try to go swimming, bring water and be ready to hike around for awhile with or without swimming success. Maybe someone who has found the beach can post more specifics on how...
