On Dec 16th i sustained on injury on heavenly daze . The pain in my lower leg was intense , i couldn’t move . i was scared , crying & afraid i was going to slide downhill . so grateful to the gentleman that quickly called ski patrol & kept me safe from other skiers. The staff of the ski patrol were quick to respond , keeping me safe & warm ! They were very professional, explained everything , got me down to the base safely. Transported me to the hospital , keeping my leg stable , lessening the pain . i can’t say enough kind words to this group of emergency responders . Celine & i think his name was Nick who quickly responded on the mountain . Top notch! oh & i broke my fibula & sprained my ankle , hope to be back soon...
Read moreOur family is incredibly grateful to the Steamboat Ski Patrol for their quick response after my husband careened off the right side of Tornado Lane on 1/29/24, landing 20 feet down in deep snow among multiple trees. Led by John Pink Floyd, he and 4 others (Simon, Welch, Camacho and Eifert) extricated him and took him down on a litter to the Ski Patrol clinic. Dubbed the Miracle Man by the ski patrollers, he was most fortunate to walk away with only a slight ankle strain. Thank you for your caring and professional expertise! Read moreGood news bad news....the bad: only my 3d day on the mountain, lost it on ice at the end of the day, broke 3 ribs, end of skiing was a pain only eclipsed by the physical pain. The good: Was treated with haste, kindness and appropriate care by Liam. Liam kept me calm as I lay on the slope, carefully took vitals and checked me out otherwise, and summoned Dominique with her oxygen. They both managed to get me on the sled with the utmost care, and Liam maneuvered as best as possible as he led me down to the medical vehicle. Off to the hospital I went, Liam still at my side.
