This place used to be decent. It was a nice Carniseria that I didn’t have to drive far to go to. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill fast. They are open at eight, but most often their meats aren’t ready at that time. they have certain items that are ready however, most of the items are not available at the time that they open. In addition to that they are charging almost 4 dollars per taco. The meat is tough and flavorless. For four dollars or $3.29 per taco when tacos are typically 299 or less. I’m expecting a lot more. Read moreWent in for a pound of simple Beef Chorizo, but I didn't expect $8.99/lb! Perhaps I'm used to Tucson prices were the best chorizo at local carnicerias are at most $5/lb, $3/lb on sale. After cooking it, found out there was a lot of grease. My guess is the beef was at most, 73% lean. I like my beef chorizo with 93% lean, even 85% is ok. Taking a bite, the chorizo spice is very mild, and it could use way more spice. I little added heat would be nice. For $9/lb, I'd expect better quality ground beef, and more spice. Fresh vegetables, salsa, tortillas in a variety of sizes. One could almost imagine they were in a corner store in Mexico, if not for the old U.S. Post Office in the rear of the store!
