The Monster Card Shop — Local services in Queen Creek

This was my first time in a card shop in years, and at first, I thought it was a great experience until I looked at my receipt. I was very upfront with the employee, telling him I didn't know much about all the new cards and wanted some help.

After speaking to him for a bit, I decided on two packs of cards and two boxes of cards. The first box I picked was $70, and I was looking for another box around that same pricing. I picked another one I thought was $70 and was ready to check out after picking up a few odds and ends. This is where I wished the card shop had detailed pricing on the screen before I purchased because I would have caught the error before purchasing.

My total for the transaction was over $400, which I first thought was odd, but I went with it because other customers were waiting to be helped, and my daughter was ready to bounce. This was my mistake; I should have asked for detailed pricing before swiping my card. The second box I purchased was not $70 but $270. I must have misheard him, but I would have never bought a box with seven total cards.

Again, I was getting back into it, so I wanted to get a good selection of the different cards and brands. I tried to look at the receipt, but it was tough to read since it ran out of printer ink. This negative experience could have...

My son and I discovered The Monster Card Shop a year ago and we were completely blown away. By far the best card shop in the Phoenix valley! Although there are at least 5 card shops closer to us, we make the long drive as often as we can because The Monster is so awesome. The guys at the shop are always so friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The atmosphere is a sports fan's dream. Live sports always playing on the tvs in front of comfortable couches and chairs. Free classic arcade games to play is such a cool touch. The variety of cards is amazing, from 10 cent value bins to high end graded cards. Always a huge selection of new boxes from retail blaster boxes to hard to find hobby boxes. The Monster is perfect for people brand new to the hobby as well as high end collectors. They have something for everyone. My son is a member of the kids club and loves it. The guys always say what's up to him and he can't wait to see them each time we head into the shop. The Monster has submitted several cards to PSA for grading on our behalf and the experience has always been great. I can't say enough great things about The Monster!...

This place is awesome! Recently stopped in for the first time and was blown away. They have everything!

The card selection was impressive. Tons of cards ranging from penny boxes, dollar boxes, all the way to big time graded cards for sale. The have a huge selection of blaster boxes, too. Sports wise, the cards range from NBA, NFL, MLB, WNBA, Soccer, and more. They have a large selection of Pokémon and other collections as well!

There are plenty of tables and seating areas inside. A lounge area with the games on. And even free arcade games as well. Everything is very clean and well organized.

The staff is excellent! Very patient, knowledgeable, and welcoming - even for kids!
