I will never shop at the merc again nor my family or locally owned business. I have never been so disrespected in my life specially during an epidemic like COVID-19 , First off we order a sandwich that I paid for before they made it because my fiance was going to wait for it , first of all you should always be wearing gloves when handling someone's else's food !!! The lady making the sandwich was not earing gloves at all and taking 20 minutes to make a sandwich then when I go ask for a refund a lady at the front named haddy or patty was unbelievably rude throwing my card around asking if I want card or cash when I did the transaction card she gave us the worst attitude imaginable and still gave us the refund in cash and when I asked for her name and her bosses name she yelled at me and was very unprofessional, then as I call the next morning just to let management or the owners aware of the way she treats customers the owner was very unprofessional as well and asked why I paid for the sandwich be fore she made it???????? Wow I was a supporter of our small businesses and trying to help stimulate but I will never give another dollar nor my family or friends or businesses to the MERC . I would advise others not to as well because it clearly shows they CARE NOTHING ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY WHEN IT COMES YO MAKING FOOD WITH NO GLOVES AND NO CONCERN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATS SO EVER ! I will drive the 15 to 20 minutes to Walmart and do my...
Read moreDon’t pay attention to reviews that are older than a month, as the Merc has reopened and is in some ways “back and better than ever!” One of the owners, Katherine, is an incredibly kind and helpful individual, and has brought a great selection of beer and wine to the store. And prices of everything I’ve looked at are quite reasonable and competitive, even compared to national supermarkets. They invite you to make product suggestions as well. I do hope they manage to get some additional fresh deli items (I miss the green chile frittatas!), but it is early and it is so clear that they’re working to adapt to what the community needs, wants, and can sustain. Thank you so much to the individuals who did what it took to reopen this...
Read moreThis is a small grocery store with narrow aisles and recently the owners told the workers to ditch their masks. Since proof of vaccination is not required and people going maskless are on the honor System, I'm not shopping there anymore. If you live in placitas, you're a lot better off getting your food delivered by Skarsgard Farms. The Merc is overpriced and the food is better from Skarsgard Farms anyway. It's stupid to tell the workers to ditch their masks because they're being exposed to everyone. I only would go there to get booze anyway so I guess I'm...
