Ronnie's Country Store — Local services in Four Oaks

HOLY COW, this place feels like it has just about EVERYTHING! 🤩

While driving along NC-96 I decided to stop in and take a look and a little break and I was far from disappointed!

This place is why I love gas stations so much! So many different things can be purchased here! Gardening supplies and seeds and plants, typical gas station snacks and drinks, fresh produce, a huge selection of blue jeans, socks, gloves, belts, other clothes, shoes and boots, and even a decent selection of toys!

If that still wasn't enough, there is a relatively large hardware section in the back with all sorts of things to buy! You can also get a whole meal here too as they have plenty of freshly made sandwiches and ice cream to satiate your appetite! I was able to get a good lunch here of an amazing pimento cheese sandwich!

And the bathroom? Dude, this is easily the BEST looking bathroom in a gas station I...

This was a very lovely place to stop! The ambiance outside of the store (hanging potted flowers) and inside is cozy and welcoming. The facilities were clean and well designed/decorated.

There was fresh produce on display (for sale), as well as homemade jellies, jams, jars of honey and the like. They had the typical gas store offerings such as soda, juices, alcohol, candies, chips, etcetera, and another section with working-man clothes/boots/utility items.

My daughter noted comfy chairs/tables to rest in for a bit, and my son liked the map in the hallway where you could add a pin for your home location and see where others who visited came from.

The staff was very friendly and I appreciated the unique items at the counter (chocolate/pistachio candy bar from Dubai, and single serving chunks of mild cheddar - which was quite good!).

We pulled into Raleigh Oaks RV park just up the road from Ronnie's Country Store/Tires and Tire Service. While doing so, did not notice a travel trailer hitch pin hiding in the crushed rock on our site. It drove clean up into the tire in a spot that could not be plugged. An employee at the campground quickly recommended Ronnie's up the road, and as we were still hitched up, we immediately drove to them. The crew there had us back our 5th wheel right into the bay and within the hour, we had a brand new tire installed. They were amazing, very polite, and instantly accommodated our needs. It is a delight to have experienced the service of young folks who know their job, and do it well....
