OWNER: Bob Stevens PET: Finn FIRST STARTED: First month opened in Frankfort.
I cannot recommend using Tin Woof Inn’s services enough. The owners and employees are all wonderful people and truly care about my pet and seeing to his needs. The owners and employees all have dogs and they will treat your dog like their own.
My border collie, Finn, has been going to daycare at the Frankfort location since it opened 5 years ago. He is high energy and they have taken loving care of him. Finn comes home happy and is definitely more social from getting to play every day with other dogs. He is great around other dogs and people and I attribute that to the love and care he gets at Tin Woof Inn.
They will take the time to get to know your dog and will match your dog with other dogs that are similar. They create play groups that allow your dog to socialize and not be overwhelmed. High energy dog-high energy groups. Low energy dog-then a slower paced group. They notice the individual personalities of the dogs and do an incredible job matching the dogs up to play together.
I have also taken advantage of the training that has been offered by Tin Woof Inn. It is top notch and has wonderful trainers. It is nice to see the owners and employees also in the classes just like the rest of us. Finn has taken obedience and agility classes at Tin Woof Inn and the facilities are the best.
Tin Woof Inn has been such a wonderful addition to the Frankfort community and a godsend to help Finn expend some energy, especially on days I may not be able to walk him or get him to the dog park because of obligations or weather. Tin Woof Inn is open rain or shine. I truly appreciate the care they give Finn, including washing him off on those days he gets particularly dirty from playing. It is little things like that, that lets me know they care.
Finn gets so excited when I ask him if he wants to go visit and play. Normally, as a border collie, he is fixated with what I am doing. When I pull up to take him inside, it is the one time that he will ignore me and want to get to playing with the employees and other dogs.
Tin Woof Inn offers a complete range of services and they would be and are the first place I go for daycare, training, grooming, boarding, and aqua therapy needs. I highly recommend if you have a dog (or a cat-since they offer services for cats also) to take them for a day to experience what Tin Woof Inn has to offer.
Sincerely, Bob...
Read moreDO NOT BOARD HERE! THEY KILLED MY DOG! We boarded our frenchie named Phil there for the week of 4th of July to attend a wedding in Mexico City. The day of the wedding as we’re getting dressed I received a phone call from an employee there, letting me know that Phil had passed away her exact words were “Phil is dead” and proceeded to ask me with no time to process where I would like his remains to be taken. No explanation was offered I asked what happened and she said she didn’t know he was found inside his kennel, Which later I found out was a lie. He was left outside in the July heat.I requested he be taken to a veterinary hospital near me that we have used before and they felt that was too far away, and took him to a vet of their choice completely out of my way. I demanded a necropsy be performed as Phil was only 2yrs old and in perfect health! The necropsy report came back saying he had passed away due to a heat stroke. Since their call on the Fourth of July, I have not heard from them. They have shown no consideration, or concern for the pain they caused my family and I. Any communication has been initiated by me in hopes that I can somehow be compensated or feel some kind of remorse or concern from them. Money won’t bring our Phil back but they should be liable in some way and pay in some way for the cruel way they handled our sweet boy’s death. The way they handled this is just cruel and evil and they should not be left to care for our precious pets. Our Philly died due to their carelessness and negligence and they should be held accountable. We miss our sweet boy everyday, he was a loved member of our family and I’m in awe of their lack of empathy and concern for the pain they have inflicted upon my family and I. No one should have to go through this! I waited this long to post this because I was truly hoping they would come through and show consideration. I was trying to show grace and give them the benefit...
Read moreHave boarded my dogs here previously for either a couple days or a week at a time. It seems that every time we pick them up we are questioning if this place should be open anymore. For example, we have two dogs that together stayed a week, they both when picked up smelt like they had took a bath in piss and looked like yellow crayons. When asked we were told they were only let out once due to a storm. When they offered to give them a bath which we eventually found out wasn’t included even though our dogs were turned completely yellow was not even done. Our deepest condolences to another customer of this poor establishment who lost their family pet, we as well had our dogs boarded there and they also were starting to show signs of heat exhaustion. If I were someone who cares about their pets well being and sees them as family i would strongly encourage you to take it your business somewhere that actually cares. It seems like we are always seeing new employees I am not sure if they end up realizing this place is neglectful or what but definitely something to keep in mind. Also, you would think that when boarding especially during the warmer months that their A/C would work…but turns out that’s not included. Hopefully this doesn’t get deleted so people can find out how their pets get treated at this disgrace. I think your dog would have a better experience watching it...
