You know.. I have been a customer at Fitzpatrick's for a couple years now. Never once had a problem. Its always been the best place to get furniture from & the staff has always been so understanding & cared about everything & always made sure you have what you wanted and needed. But here lately, I just dont know anymore. I know I am behind on my payment for last month, but thats due at the fact that I have had a complicating pregnancy & been put on and off of work & here recently am in the hospital again bc my son decided to make his appearance 28 days early at 4 lbs 15 oz. It is very rough right now. We are still currently in the hospital. And every single payment just about I have always brought in cash. I'm not the type of person to have a bank account. if I have a card, its just to get my paycheck & then I get the cash to go and pay them personally BC I just simply can't afford the fees of when the card is used BC its usually a prepaid card. But this last month they decided to run a card that shouldn't of even been saved in their system in the first place & when they ran it it made my whole thing go negative and I couldn't even pay my rent. They fixed the problem by returning a check with the amount they took, but it didnt save the $85 in overdraft fees just BC of how much it was and how it had to go negative. I have been currently saving up as much cash as I can while still being in the hospital just to be able to pay them & still be able to have a roof over my families head to get released too & then now after the fact of telling them to NEVER run that card again considering I've been put off of work & do not have the money in it, they decide to run it again! Now I'm once again not only negative what the payment was, but also another $85 negative for them taking it out without permission! I went to pick something else and was there for a long time. I was told that I would be able to get it including what I kept and still be at my limit. All I was waiting on was to confirm the delivery date. Finally everything was set and good to go.Then I get a call 2 days before delivery asking for more money due to total being over the limit. I told the lady thatās not what I was told 5 days ago. She said sheād call back. The next day I get call from a guy talking about miscommunication and that I would need almost $500 more; for me to call for a limit increase. He then tells me that he couldnāt take the price down any further blah blah. FYI, there was no miscommunication, I know what I was told or else I wouldnāt have left the store 6 days prior. So I leave and go down there not in the greatest of moods but I kept it together. I looked at the set, sat on it, and the whole situation didnāt sit right with me. So I left and went to another furniture store and found something else. Great quality, free delivery (unlike $135), and warranty included. So I went back after this to tell them Iām only keeping the lamp and tables. I will not go over my limit. Funny how Iām still charged a delivery fee for a lamp and tables that I could have put in my vehicle especially since I didnāt get the couch and love seat. The best part is this time he says, āSo I am able to get that price down so everything is under the original limit.ā š”š” At this point Iām pissed and tell him no thanks Iāve already went somewhere else.
