Very good, not amazing. I prefer it to others like Food Lion, but places like Wegman's are superior.
UPDATE 4/22/24: Reduced from 4 stars to 3 bc ... Super annoying that there are so many employees standing around doing nothing up front. I don't know why one person (maybe 2) couldn't handle overseeing the self checkouts. Additionally, they need to get off their phones while they're on the clock! Even with so many employees standing around waiting for something to happen, it seems like when something does happen there's no one there to help.
Additionally, I can't stand that they switched their gas rewards away from Sheetz. Perhaps it wasn't entirely their choice. Maybe Sheetz no longer needed or desired the discount business sent from Weis customers, but I sure can't stand looking all over town for a place to go now. If I'm not near a "Weis to go" location, it's useless! The Sunoco locations are either awful or poorly located or BOTH. Had the worst interaction at Sunoco on Golden Mile. Very disappointing
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Original 4-star review:
Weis is very convenient. It offers gas rewards I use at Sheetz, but that can be used in other ways (grocery specials, High's gas station). I like their monthly gold card member coupons that are specific to what I frequently buy, like produce. Long-time staffers are very good (Grace in CS, Connor in front of store mgt, and a few others). Lastly, there is a very solid selection, including some vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
It does seem that this site changes it's layout every few years and I find that annoying. Is it really so much better that it's worth annoying customers for months while implementing, bc we can't find anything and so grocery runs take much longer than they did when we knew where everything was? I get change, but it seems to be too frequent, imo, and amounts to little of real...
Read moreUpdate: Feeling compelled to give an update after my recent visit to Weis Markets in Spring Ridge. The bathroom was absolutely disgustingâfilthy, outdated, and overwhelmingly smelly. It clearly hasnât been properly cleaned or maintained in a very long time. When a store allows its public restrooms to fall into that kind of condition, it really makes you question the cleanliness of other areasâespecially the kitchen and food prep zones. If this is how they present the parts customers can see, I canât imagine what the back areas must be like. Very disappointing.
While the staff is friendly, I only get the opportunity to speak to an employee when the self service checkout line malfunctions. Today, like most grocery shopping days, there were no cashier operated check out line options. I spent 15 minutes checking myself out as I watch two young men waiting to fix mine/neighborâs self check out line malfunctions. Sad that good customer service is no longer a high priority.
This update is in response to the Weisâs comment below: My other half did our grocery shopping today due to me feeling under the weather. He returned from Weis very upset that NO staff were available for checking out our large order and mentioned the repeated errors where the staff standing around would walk over to clear them. I myself have witnessed and offered to help physically challenged elders in wheelchairs trying to check their own groceries. What was once our customer friendly...

Twice recently we've had problems. The first time was at one of the self check-outs that I usually avoid. But the other lines were long & we were waiting for a pizza. One of our items was supposed to be on sale, but the discount didn't show up. No one was around to help, so we just left.
A week or so later, I tried to buy grapes on sale for $2.99. They rang up at $11.00. That's no typo - ELEVEN DOLLARS. The cashier just stood there like a deer in headlights. At least the system allowed her to remove them with a manager. We were able to get the rest of our stuff.
I don't know whether this store is trying to rip off its customers, or is being run incompetently. Either way, watch out. And no, I don't intend to waste my time discussing this on the phone.
No express lanes! Presumably they think this compels customers to use the self-checkouts. It compelled me to leave without buying anything.
I wish I could rate the pharmacy separately. They've always been friendly and efficient, despite being quite busy. This time they even worked in...
