I was asked to leave a review when the purchase was complete and after almost 2 months I'm hopeful that we're done! Our son went to look at a truck at Fredricksburg to put eyes👀 on it and inspect it for me, his dad. Upon arrival I asked him to make sure the recalls were up to date and see if it looked like it had any other issues. He looked under the hood and the truck still had the recalled CP4 fuel pump and had a significant oil leak. I told him to walk away and he told the salesman to thank you and left. An hour into his drive home, he received a call from the salesman asking, "what do we need to do to make the deal"? I asked my son to turn around and talk to them. We asked for new tires, perform all recalls, Rhino line the bed, fix the oil leak because I needed to drive the truck 1300 miles once picked up. They agreed and we gave them a 3 week window to complete the work. I went to my bank💰 to get financing and had the finance manager on the line to speak with my bank. After 10 minutes the finance manager told me , "listen I can't stay on the line📞, I've got 10 other things I need to do"! Not the kind of statement a financial manager should make to a potential new customer😡. My bank wasn't able to provide financing so I was seeking another route when my son reached out to the financial manager at GMC to bring him up to speed. The financial manager apologized🤦 for his actions towards me and offered to see if he could get financing for us. After 2 hard inquiries✔️✔️ he did! The above mentioned work was supposedly done and they delivered the truck to us. Upon inspection the oil leak was still present. They picked the truck back up and inspected it a second time and it needed a new timing cover gasket and crankshaft seal🔧🪛⚙️🧰. My thoughts regarding the Ram dealership they work with is they need some serious help in service because this truck should've never been delivered. We were told the Ram dealership they use could fix in in about 2 weeks. So our son who took it upon himself called another ram dealership who told him they could work on it the next day! Fredericksburg GMC agreed to this and the truck was delivered to be correctly fixed. During this time the financial manager we'd been dealing with was on a family vacation🩴🏖, but instead of not having the time to deal with us he took the time because the payment for the work done was denied by GREG in service at Fredericksburg GMC and he hung up on the service manager at Nyle Maxwell not once, but twice! We got the financial manager on the phone while on vacation and after 2 hours of waiting with my wife and our grandkids in the car the truck was finally released to us! I just received paperwork for the truck and the license plates and hour ago after almost 2 months. Every step along the way we needed to gently push the process along. I felt as if the financial manager at Fredericksburg GMC was pushing a large rock🪨🙍♀️🙍🙎♂️🙎♀️ uphill with his team on his back. My suggestion would to have some serious meetings with your staff and make the obviously necessary changes needed. Backing up a bit, MINDY😇 the Service manager at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler was absolutely unbelievable❤️🩹, she took this oyster and made a pearlout of it. Unfortunately I had to take a week off work due to this situation. When all was said and done I do love the truck even though I had to fix a power steering hose leak when I finally...
Read moreMy 2011 GMC Denali Diesel Dually broke down on the road and I had it towed to Fredericksburg Chevrolet on August 5, 2021. After they completed diagnosis, I was told that the entire fuel system would need to be replaced (about $12K.). It took several weeks to get the parts, then once installed, I was informed that some of the new parts were faulty, would need to be reordered and replaced. At this time, my truck had been in the shop for over two months, leaving me only my motorcycle as a daily driver to get to work, and Fredericksburg Chevrolet never offered me a loaner vehicle. At about the nine week point in this process, I stopped by the dealership to get an update. My service manager, Brian, took me out to the repair shop to get the story on my truck direct from the shop foreman. Brian addressed this man, who never stood up or made any attempt to acknowledge me and never even looked up from his computer monitor as Brian asked him questions about my truck, which the foreman basically only answered with gruff short replies. This left me with zero confidence that they really knew how to repair my truck. As we left the shop, I told Brian that I had been very understanding, but now that the weather was turning cold and rainy, I needed a loaner vehicle as it was impractical for me to continue riding the motorcycle daily. He replied that they probably didn't have a loaner vehicle, and that he would have to ask his manager. I replied that I would be more than happy to discuss this situation with his manager myself. Then all of a sudden, Brian was bale to get me a nice loaner truck. The week after I had to cancel our vacation because I didn't have my truck to pull my 20,000 # RV, I was called that my truck was ready and it had totally been tested. I picked it up on October 30, 2021. I drove it out to my property, but when driving it back into town that very afternoon, the service engine light came on. I immediately called Brian and took my truck back to the Chevrolet dealership. I was finally able to get my truck from Phil on November 12, 2021 after all of the final repairs were completed. As of today, November 18, 2021 my truck seems to be running fine. What an overall terrible...
Read moreIf I can give zero stars for the service department I would. Recently had my thermostat go out so brought it in for replacement, only because I purchased a warranty. That part was covered and they also discovered other issues, nothing that I was having problems with before. Was not provided photos or videos of the other issues and took their word for it. Luckily all other issues were covered by warranty so money did not come out of my pocket. I pick up my vehicle after service was completed and began the nearly hour trip home. About 25 minutes down the road my truck starts telling me that my engine is overheating so pull off the road as quickly as I could. I call them to tell them my issue and was told they would have someone bring me coolant. I then get out of my truck and open my hood to find that all of my coolant lines are clamped off and my radiator cap had blown off. I call them back to tell them what I found and spoke to the service manager Greg and said that “y’all left my lines clamped off and caused my truck to overheat” His replay was “I didn’t do anything with your truck. Don’t blame me” Not a good response from a manager and also received no apology. They did show up to me on the side of the road with coolant and a cap but asked them to bring the truck back to the dealership to check and make sure no damage was done to my engine because of their mistake. Was told the next day they went through everything and all checked out and I was good to go.
Now less then two weeks later I get an alert from my truck that I have low oil and need to add oil to the engine. Upon inspecting, my engine was almost completely out of oil. I am hoping and praying that no damage was done because of this. I quickly took my truck to a local shop to get an oil changed.
I will never again be using this dealership and highly recommend that everyone else do the same.
The only silver lining of this whole ordeal was my interactions with Marshall the service advisor. He was the only person I spoke with that was apologetic about...
