Always a great way to spend the day. So much fun to be had here. So many great people to chat with, from the vendors to the visitors.
Not only are you able to find some wonderful items in the barns and the outside areas, but the food...drool... trust me, no need to grab a bite before coming as everyone in your party will find something to their liking.
The parking is easy (be sure to bring cash for the $5, but you're probably bringing cash anyway for the vendors, right? Right!). If you forget, don't fret - there is an ATM located right outside the office on the porch.
The restrooms are clean and conveniently located. With plenty of room out front to wait on the slowpokes if you came with any, there's no reason for anyone to get lost or separated.
Please be aware on beautiful days there is likely to be a lot of traffic, both vehicular as well as pedestrian- so be patient. This should come as no surprise, yet so many people temd to act shocked that others want to enjoy the same thing as what they do... so relax while you are either entering or exiting - we're all here for fantastic finds and fabulous food, no need to be an ignorant impatient imp.
So go and enjoy everything Fredericksburg Trade Days...
Read moreVery neat place with a large variety of things. You can find antiques, handmade arts, clothing, and more here. Plenty to look at and can easily spend a few hours here. Also nice people to visit with. You will also find dishware, furniture, and random odds and ends here. They have various places serving food and drinks. There is also usually live music. Come when it's cooler outside unless you can stand the summer heat. Check out Rustic Images for some framed country photography and amazing benches made from old headboards! There are also some awesome handmade soaps and lotions at a couple booths that I love. Trade Days is the perfect place to shop if you are looking to buy gifts for someone, need some more decor or furniture for your place, or you just want to see some neat stuff. Have fun and stay hydrated! P.S. the mini donuts are super delish and the Lone Star Piggy...
Read moreWe stopped by here on a whim when we realized we were nearby when it was open, and WOW were we not prepared! This place is truly massive, ranging from large spreads of assorted half-broken antique metal sculptures to high - quality handmade art and everything in between.
It is $5 to park, but otherwise no cost to get in. It is dominated by 6+ large barns. They are host to a combination of arts-and-crafts sellers and higher-end consignment shops with a really nice selection.
Outside of the barns is pretty hit or miss, but you can find some gems hidden among the overpriced pieces and broken junk. There are also a number of good - looking food options, though we didn't try any.
My biggest takeaway is to plan to stay there a while, because we were there for a couple hours and didn't really get to see...
