Extremely rude! I came in to pick up a small basket of peaches and asked the sales clerk to check and make sure that all the peaches were ripe, as it has been my experience in the past that under ripe peaches were on the bottom. As predicted there were two green peaches at the bottom of the basket. So I asked if they could be traded out for two ripe peaches. She took the two unripe peaches and gave them to her staff in the back that traded them for two peaches which were just as green as the ones that she gave them. She then asked them again to find their most ripe peaches in the back. They again came out with two unripe green peaches. I then asked her why it wasn't possible to take two ripe peaches off the top of the baskets that were set out, as they were all the same price, not being sold by the pound. She told me that once they are "set" they are not allowed to adjust the peaches. Weird, but okay. During this exchange I pay for my basket of peaches while they are still looking for two more peaches to replace the green ones. Shortly after I reject the second two she sends the farmer to meet me who then yells at me and asks me what my problem was with the peaches. I told him. He looks in my bag and tells me that I already have $9 worth of peaches. I told him that the lady at the register removed the two peaches I rejected from the basket prior to bagging them and that I had already paid for the two peaches that I'm attempting to replace. He then tells me to pick two peaches from the top of the available baskets already out. There is a huge sign that states "DO NOT TOUCH THE PEACHES!" I bring this to his attention. He says he would make an exception in this case. I chose two peaches. He then takes the underripe peaches and places them upside down on the tops of the two basket so that the green tops are not visible. 🙄 Now they wonder why I have the peaches checked. All this just to do exactly what I requested in the first place. During this entire ordeal there are several people in the roadside stand watching him yell at me and me getting upset because they keep trying to pawn off underripe peaches to me. I have lived in the area for a very long time and always enjoy stopping at the roadside fruit stands for peaches when they are in season. I will NEVER shop here again. Horrific customer service and trying to hide less than quality products.
On a side note, my sister was in town visiting me and saw this entire ordeal go down and was shocked at how I was treated.
With so many great peach stands available in the area shop anywhere...

The peach orchard was closed for public picking this year, but we were still able to pick fresh strawberries & blackberries from the orchards! Plus, they were still selling their fresh peaches in their market, so your peach craving will be satisfied.
Picking was so easy and fun. They provide fruit baskets as you’re entering the orchard areas; what you pay is of course dependent on what and how much you pick. The strawberries and blackberries were plump, juicy and perfectly ripe. The leaves in the blackberry orchard were sharp and itchy so just beware! Make sure you grab a wooden stick from their bucket before entering the blackberry section; it helps you push the sharp leaves away to get to the goods. Wear tons of sunscreen (no shade) & maybe some bug spray.
After picking, we went to their fresh market which is located on the orchard grounds. We sampled blackberry, peach, & strawberry jams, salsas, preserves, & butters. OMG SO GOOD. Peach butter is my fav. We bought that, plus strawberry preserves & a jar of fresh honey thats made by Fredericksburg Fruit Farm.
We then walked like 5 steps to a BBQ joint called Leroy’s; it is also located on the grounds of the orchard. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I will write a review for them specifically, but just know it was so gooooood!
After lunch, we walked back to the market to grab two pints of their homemade strawberry & peach ice cream (they also offer vanilla & blackberry). DONT PASS UP THE ICE CREAM!!! It’s incredible. Truly.
It was an action packed day and we only had to drive to 1 place! Great place for a date, a family outing, or hanging with a group of friends. Friendly staff. If you’re visiting from out of town, you just gotta...
Read moreWe’ve been visiting this beautiful family farm for seven years now, and every visit feels just as magical as the first. There’s something incredibly special about a place that becomes part of your family’s traditions—and this farm has done exactly that for us.
From the moment we arrive, we’re greeted with warm smiles and genuine kindness from the owners and staff. It’s clear this is a family-run labor of love, and they treat every guest like part of that family.
The tractor and trailer ride out to the peach trees is always a highlight—bouncing along the path with the wind in our hair and excitement in the kids’ eyes. Once we reached the orchard, the joy truly began. My kids absolutely love picking peaches, but I think they love eating them even more! The fruit is always sweet, juicy, and bursting with flavor.
After we loaded up our boxes with hand-picked peaches, we wandered through the adorable little farm store, filled with local goods and charm. To top it all off, the baby and our girls enjoyed some refreshingly delicious peach ice cream, the perfect end to a peach-filled day.
We’re so grateful this farm continues to open its gates to the public—thank you for giving families like ours the chance to slow down, connect with nature, and create memories we’ll cherish forever. We already can’t wait to come back...
