Chilton Furniture — Local services in Freeport

We are absolutely obsessed with our Chilton furniture. We ordered the Bethel panel bed and matching night stands, as well as, a dining table (I'm honestly not sure which one) customized to exclude the leaf and be a solid top, four Saco Chairs, and a 5-foot shaker bench. You go in knowing it takes a while to build and get delivered, but other than the long wait, everything was perfect. The delivery guys showed up right when we expected them. All we had to do was show them where we wanted the furniture. They brought everything in wrapped in blankets for protection, assembled anything that needed assembly (the bed), and were in and out in no time. The furniture itself fit our spaces perfectly and look spectacular. We're delighted with how clean the edges and surfaces are, the finishes, how sturdy everything is. You really get what you pay for here. The chairs are comfortable, the bench, even though from a different set, matches perfectly. The dining table is large and solid and exactly what we wanted. The colors will darken up over time, and we're excited to see how it all ends up looking in the end. The bed is well built and feels very sturdy. It's nice having a headboard for once, and even better having our mattress up off the floor now. I thought the bedside tables would be oversized and I wasn't sure if we'd love them, but they fit perfectly in the space and are perfect. The drawers are slow-close and quality made - no flimsy bottoms or sides that'll break in a year. I'm confident the track won't wear out either. As a violinist in the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra, I had seen the Chilton Furniture ad in our program and had admired the furniture on the website. My husband and I went to Chilton's Freeport Store looking for a new dining table and chairs this summer. We were warmly greeted by Zach, who initially gave us time to explore our options by ourselves in the spacious showrooms. He then adroitly guided us through our options, listening carefully to our preferences. We left the showroom, knowing we would come back once we had made a decision.

When we returned, we were pleased that Zach was there to assist us as we finalized our decision to purchase a Cherry Bass Harbor Table, four Chilton Spindle Side Chairs and one Arm Chair in Cherry and Maple due to their simplicity and beauty.

Sooner than we had anticipated, Wanda called to schedule a delivery date. Bobby and Adam professionally delivered our new table and chairs.

My wife and I searched fruitlessly for months for a new wooden bed with a low headboard. All furniture stores feature beds with with either high or immensely high headboards. Then we found Chilton Furniture. On vacation in Portland, we wandered into the Commercial Street store and saw the Dune bed and Mysa nightstands. Viola, the search was over. Eleanor Soule in Sales was wonderfully helpful and patient answering our questions; we subsequently ordered the pieces. Wanda in Logistics kept us well apprised as to when the furniture was to be delivered (we live in NJ). Anjolie sent us pics of the bed to help us determine how thick a mattress we should get. Bobby and John, who made the delivery, were very friendly and courteous and did a great job setting up the furniture.
