Best Meats — Local services in Fruitland Park

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Butcher is only in from 9-1 and everything is "cut to order" pretty much. Any meat they did have on the shelf look spoiled and rotten I would never go here again this isn't the best meats should be called the worst meats! I don't even know how they are even open to be honest. Brown meat is spoiled and rotten looking don't lie plus you had very small selection and I didn't want anything cut. I wanted skirt steak or flank steak which yall didn't have. I picked up a steak to look under it to see if they were all brown and smelled bad and guess what they did. No cheap shot just the truth. And if your open until 6 you should probably have a butcher till 6 when you don't carry many cuts of meat unless they are cut to order. And if that'd what you call you shelves fully stocked god I would hate to see them empty. You clearly are not aware what a good butcher is but hey you do you. This is the 1 and only time I would visit there and would never come again. Because the meat looks disgusting maybe if it didn't sit out and get above the required temperature to create bacteria it wouldn't turn brown but hey what do I know. We have used this place a few different times for meat. We order the meat saver packs. The first time they forgot to give us our chicken we ordered and they had no pan sausage. The second time they had no pan sausage again so we waited an extra 3 days to get our box. The third time I made another order online they said they never received it. 7 days after making I tried to call to have it confirmed and the lady took my order over the phone. They normally take a few days to fill these boxes and I work overnights but they filled it on the 10th or the 11th. They called today 6 times and because we couldn't get there today now they are saying we have to pay a head of time. The one time we ask for them to wait for us they make a big deal out of it. The lady acted as if we had ask them to wait multiple times. I don't mind paying upfront or even waiting for them to have my food ready but I will not let someone talk to us the way this women did. Unfortunately we will find somewhere else. We tried to be good customers but sometimes unexpected things happen and people can't get there at a drop of a hat. My husband called and ordered 1.5lbs of New York strip. Was told top quality was almost double the price per pound of mid quality steak. So he ordered the top quality and was told by the woman who answered the phone that her husband would cut the meat and have it ready when I arrived. I was coming from 45 minutes away and was advised they would be open until 6pm. I arrived at 5:47pm to a dark closed store. As I pulled in a big white truck and a red car were pulling out of the parking lot. I assume this was the owners closing early and they watched me get out walk up and knock on the door. Very disappointed in the customer service can't review the product since I never recieved it. But my publix New York's were amazing!
