Logan's Garden Hut — Local services in Fuquay-Varina

Lovely plants and knowledgeable staff, However, I will not shop here again. On my last trip there I over heard the owner correct an employee rather harshly and then quiz the other two employees to make sure they knew the procedure the other had missed. All of this was done right in front of me. She was incredibly indiscreet in how she handled a very small issue with an employee that had actually offered me some delightful customer service, and this sweet woman was clearly embarrassed and rattled. While I would infinitely prefer to support a small business over a big box store, that assumes the small business owner actually deserves my business. I have had the misfortune of working for one of these types of entitled small business owners in the past and I refuse to reward bad behavior. I hope her delightful employees find work where they are truly valued as they should be.

Drove here during a week day to buy some spring plants and switch it up from my usual garden center, I try to keep to local places only. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed overall and left empty handed. They are much smaller than Fairview and they seemed severely understaffed. There didn't seem to be any organization to the plants and it was impossible to get anyone to help since I only saw 2 employees the entire time and they were busy writing price tickets since you can't bring carts inside to check out, and had a line of customers waiting. After 15+ minutes of waiting, I finally got some help but what I was showed looked really sad and the leaves were scorching in the sun or were already pre-potted. Went back to Fairview the next day and got everything I needed and some with tons of assistance and selection. Hope you guys can find more employees soon....

This is a wonderful local nursery, with a full gift shop. Lots of well maintained plants and trees for in or outdoor planting. Fun things for the garden, like tables and chairs, spinners, bird feeders and houses, garden flags, welcome mats. There is a wide selection of locally made food, like chocolates, toffee, salsa, molasses, grits. Nice high end things for the house, like unique lamps, wall hangings, things for the table. The staff are very nice, and experienced with growing indoor and outdoor plants, and willing to help me keep my plants alive. They have interesting weekend classes.
