Audio King — Local services in Gadsden

I had Audio King do an install of a double-din CD/DVD head unit, two Cobalt 12 inch sub-woofer's in a box, and a 1000 watt amp, all of which I provided. I called them in advance, and set up an appointment to have the install take place. They promised me they'd bench test the amp I provided to see if it functioned properly before installing it. After sitting at their store for 2 hours waiting, I decided to get my brother to come get me to go get a bite to eat. I got a call from them telling me that my amp didn't work after I'd left, and they told me that I'd have to have a new amp to get the subs to work. So I gave them the OK to install the new amp, which I purchased from them for $130.00. After 4 hours waiting total, they finally had the job finished, which was a RIDICULOUSLY long wait for a simple sound system installation. When I checked out the job they'd done, they had replaced the heater control wrong, and I couldn't use the knob for changing from cold to hot on the panel. So I fixed that myself while sitting in front of their store. I paid for the job, a total cost of $270.00 for installation, wiring and amp, then I got ready to leave. I noticed the amp of mine they'd said didn't work was missing, and when I asked where it was, they assured me it was in the trunk of the car. So I got in to leave, and decided I'd check just in case to make sure. Of course, the amp WAS NOT in the trunk. So I went back inside and had him check to see if they could find it, and of course, one of his employees brought the amp back to me. Today, about 3 weeks after the job was done, I had a friend hook up the old amp just to prove to me it didn't work. The old amp worked PERFECTLY, with no issues whatsoever, and actually hit better than the new amp they'd sold me! So not only did the owner of the business LIE to me and tell me that my amp was worthless, but he also tried to KEEP the amp from me, knowing it worked and figuring I just wouldn't care that they kept a broken amp. Of course this business does not do refunds, so now I am out the cost of the amp they sold me for no reason other than to steal money from me. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS, AS THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, THEY TAKE FOREVER TO DO THE JOB THEY PROMISE WILL BE DONE QUICKLY, AND THEY LIE TO YOU ABOUT PRODUCTS YOU BRING IN TO THE STORE AND TRY TO STEAL...

Second time going there and leaving completely disappointed. Yes selection is nice. However prices are borderline extreme. Today I Told them I didn’t have wires or aux adapter. And needed amp and sub installed and I needed above parts as well. The guy told me $100 come in and we’ll get you all set up. Get there after being ignored for 20 minutes and three people later guy tells me okay I’ll do it for $160. So I left. Traffic jams in Gadsden had a wait list. Now just waiting. This place will never get...

These guys had every chance to sell me new speakers for my Rogue. When he had the car in the shop, he took the door panel off and discovered that the plug for the driver door speaker was not attached to the speaker. He simply plugged the speaker back in and it fixed a speaker that I thought was simply bad.
