Grant's IGA Supermarket — Local services in Galax

The store is ok.... some great prices. However the manager is horrible... my son applied for a job here and the manager keeps leading him on... he wont call for 2 weeks then he will call again to ask him a question then he will say I will let you know only to repeat the cycle again in a couple of weeks. He has made him return to the store for one thing or another over the last couple of months and my son always goes... then he just says ok I will call you! This is very unprofessional and his behavior is unpredictable. I cannot believe a manager would lead a 16 year old on making him think he has a job when he does not! I will be contacting the person over this manager to let him know how rude and inappropriate the manager of this stores behavior is. If nothing gets taken care of I will contact the next person until something gets...

This is a neat little store. It's got a very grassrootsy home town mom and pop feel, as the prices are great and the store has a lot of produce and food that looks fresh and is well stocked. The placs is spic and span. I've knocked off a star though because I did not get very much in terms of customer service. The person I checked out with did not say even a single word despite me acknowledging him several times.

All in all, a great little place for a first time visit. I will certainly return...

The place is just old and gross. Rotten fruits and vegetables that smell horrendous. The customer service at this store has went downhill in the last year or so. Its not all of the cashiers but I do seem to have this issue with two specific older ladies. The last three times that my family and I have been to this store, have had our change thrown at us, no thank you, no have a nice day, they just throw our order aside and start the next order. Do better, and remember customer service...
