You have to call the number on the shipping door to check in although the door is unlocked and when you walk in there is a wall and a glass divider between you and the shipping office. A bit slow getting loaded, also had a 3PM appointment and was on time to be told it would be at least an hour before I could get into a door. They only load 2 trucks at time. If you are hard working, and have military disapline this is a place you want to be. You have to be hard working. Willing to work twelve hours, the pay at Owens Corning is incredible good, I worked here under a year but had an opportunity where I had worked previously in a totally different line of work. I'm 55 years of age , and I'm not saying an older guy can't do the work I would just recommend that if your up there in age like over 40. You'll need something lighter. I worked in full production. Checked in on Friday and today is Monday, still waiting for my load, there were 5-6 trucks who did their 36 hours reset. Me and and other guy were here for more than 50 hours still waiting. Don’t come here for pickup guys trust me you will regret. They only have portable washroom. They do have overnight parking. Shame on you whoever was in shipping office on Monday for not letting me use washroom, I mean I am here for 4 days still waiting for my load, when other guys working on weekends don’t have problem letting me use inside washroom...
