We just visited here yesterday (coming down from Kansas City), and it was a sad scene. We were here last year and it was a beautiful sight to behold. At our visit this time, you could see weather events have taken a heavy toll on her. The fencing is mangled, the boardwalks are very overgrown, palm fronds are EVERYwhere and the industrial strength mosquitos are having massive conventions; they welcome you with open arms, too.
