Pointe West Vacation — Local services in Galveston

This is an extremely comfortably sized, gorgeous, well-appointed, clean, totally stocked, beach home. We had 6 adults and 2 littles. This home totally exceeded our expectations. We rent a beach house every year for our family for the week of the 4th. For decades we’ve done this. This home is the best we’ve ever “borrowed”, as my grandson would say. The furniture is super comfortable, as are the beds. And there is enough seating!!! The showers are huge!!! The layout of the bedrooms is fantastic. Master and another bedroom on main floor. Each has their own bathroom and one doubles as the guest bath for the main floor. Next floor has a HUGE bedroom with 2 full/queen bunks built in and with built in stairs to the top bunks. And another bedroom with a queen bed across the hall. It’s perfect setup for parents who need to sleep close to their kiddos. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own attached bathrooms. Between these two bedrooms is a small den/game room area with large tv and video game set-up. We were outside the entire time there so didn’t use this much. One floor above this is another den area. The ground floor has a huge covered area with lots of seating and a large good quality bbq pit. Dining table and chairs. Huge shuffleboard “court”, great shower for rinsing off sand from beach, a bar area, ping pong table plus parking in the garage for 2 vehicles. They had a wagon available to carry stuff on the beach and other items available to borrow. We have stayed in so many homes that over-represented their amenities. This home was not over-represented by Pointe West Realty and it was such a nice surprise to get MORE than we expected. It has two full-size fridges with freezers. A HUGE pantry. A built-in ice maker that was actually working. Three ovens. Huge sink, plus a second sink at the “bar” area. Tons of counter space. Stocked with dishes, pots and pans, mixing bowls, plastic storage containers… and even beach towels for use. I could go on and on. We’ve stayed at Pointe West several times prior. This was our best experience. I enjoyed all of my communication with the management rental group. The employees were all nice and friendly and informative. And they communicated with us all of the fun activities going on at Pointe West during our stay. We would definitely stay in My Blue Heaven home again and book through Pointe West Vacation rentals. And we have NEVER stayed in any home more than once. Thank you for letting us...

SOL SEARCHING Condo is an awesome beachfront 2B/2B 1st floor (above the parking garage) condo in Pointe West Beach Club Resort on Galveston Island. We were extremely happy with this newly renovated condo and its furnishings were very beach like. The king bed is comparable to sleeping on a cloud and the on-suite bathroom was very nice. The second bedroom with the twin over a full along with a trundle bed works great for the kids. The decorations and painted walls in this 2nd bedroom are so neat and beautiful. WOW! So nice! The kitchen was very nice, and the patio gave beautiful views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The patio furniture was very comfortable and a fun place for morning coffee and meals. Private parking under the condo protected our car and kept us out of the weather when it rained. I really loved this condo for family vacations, and it is only a short walk to the swimming pool, hot tub, game room, gift shop and (summertime only) restaurant. We had access to the beach just outside our condo and the boardwalk stroll down to the beach is only 1 minute. SOL SEARCHING is top notch. Believe me, we will recommend this condo to our friends that love coming to Galveston, and we'll be back again too. If you're wanting to be away from the downtown beach scene and have more private beach, you can't find any place better to enjoy...

We definitely enjoyed our time at Pointe West. The beach was wonderful and right across the bridge. The pool was clean and beautiful. The Pointe restaurant has an delicious dinner menu! All of the staff was kind and friendly and the location is perfect. We stayed in the ForeSail condo. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The view of the ocean on the balcony was beautiful. The only reason I give a 4 star instead of a 5 star review mostly has to do with the location of the condo which we stayed in. This particular unit is literally right next to the pool, restaurant, and bar. So at night there was extremely loud music flooding into the bedrooms late into the night. Also, due to the location of this condo, all of the lighting that is turned on at the pool area is on all night and floods the master bedroom with light. Even with the blinds closed the room was very bright all night. The last negative (and I have read this in reviews dating back over 2 years ago)- there is an audible beeping alarm in a maintenance closet right outside of the unit that beeps nonstop 24/7 and will drive a person crazy! My family and I definitely want to return to Pointe West for another family vacation…..we will just choose a different condo...
