K & B Patio — Local services in Garden Grove

We purchased an umbrella two years ago under a presumed 5 year warranty. Recently there was a mechanical issue with the top portion of the umbrella. My wife attempted to civilly speak with "Nathan" who immediately placed fault on us for opening it during the wind etc..He stated that the umbrella was considered an accessory and would not be covered. This distinction is not written anywhere on the original sales receipt. I went to their location with the umbrella in hand to seek a remedy. Upon my arrival I was met by Nathan whom was very defensive when I began to explain the situation. I asked to speak to Mindy who was the owner. Besides them speaking Vietnamese she met me with a scowl on her face and without any hesitation emphasized that umbrellas are not covered in the 5 year warranty. I told her that should of been something disclosed on the bill of sale. After going back and forth, and me maintaining my firm belief that they did not appropriately inform us of the exceptions to their warranty AND having one of their workers determine that it was actually the rope that serves as a pully that was not functioning properly. Long story short, instead of being receptive and offering to find a remedy, and being very confrontational and speaking Vietnamese while talking to each other about my situation, she finally agreed to swallow $75.00 and gave me a new frame. Noone should have to spend that amount of time and energy to convince anyone to excercise integrity. Clearly this operation will not be worth your...

We've had our patio set for two years. It sits outside 24/7, uncovered. Still looks great and no problems.
