3/4/2025 Disappointing Experience at Pad Thai
I visited Pad Thai on Westminster Avenue and Clinton Street for dinner at 5:15 PM with a friend. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience.
My friend ordered the won ton soup, while I had the crab fried rice and a Thai tea. The food was bland and lacked any real flavor—a stark contrast to the bold and aromatic dishes I usually associate with Thai cuisine. On top of that, the food arrived lukewarm, making me wonder if it was pre-cooked and simply reheated rather than freshly made. The only condiment provided was chili, which wasn’t enough to enhance the flavors. Some soy sauce, vinegar, or oils could have helped, but none were offered.
On the positive side, the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with the dining area prepped for the next guests. However, cleanliness alone isn’t enough to bring me back. Given the lackluster food quality, I wouldn’t return or recommend this place to others.

We were enjoying ourselves, ordered 3 entrees, 2 hot teas, and a Coke Zero. The food was absolutely delicious down to the white rice. The server brought our food and drinks, but only brought one cup for the hot teas kettle he’d just placed down. I assumed he was getting me another cup so I waited about 10 minutes. It’s a tiny spot, but whatever I don’t wanna bug. Finally I walk up to an empty counter since nobody has walked in or out and the staff is nowhere to be seen. I ask for a cup, gesturing to a tiny thing I need “for tea.” The man gets upset as all hell, starts getting loud, yelling that he’s already making another tea. I didn’t expect that and was honestly hella annoyed that this would happen with the fam here. I was unaware we had another tea coming, just that he’d forgot my cup. Anyway, ruined it all, not a good experience, but the...
Read moreNot worth the amount of food for price. $18 for a lunch special with paid thai and shrimp. Literally $2 more for shrimp and i got 1 shrimp lol. The service was lousy and the place looked old and dingy. My food was sitting on counter I asked if that was my order and the gentleman said yes but you have to pay first. I was still waiting on my Thai Tea to be served. When I told him im going to pay he begin to raise his voice at me and gave me an attitude. I told him its not like im walking towards the door i simply asked if that was my food. Im paying with card. Not the customer service I was hoping for the first time being at this establishment with that customer service plus the food quality wasent that great I won't ever be back! I'd rather save my money and go to another thai place. Was really hoping this place would Excel my expectations as it does have 4.9 reviews...
