We celebrated our anniversary at Ash & Anvil and it could not have been a better experience. The lounge has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe that immediately made us feel at home. The cigar selection is outstanding with everything from reliable favorites to rare premium options. I enjoyed a Byron Reserva 5 Años, which was absolutely perfect for a special occasion. My wife found something she enjoyed as well and Derrick (owner) was knowledgeable and passionate about guiding us toward the right cigar. He is a great storyteller and you can tell he is not just a business owner and entrepreneur, but also a well-traveled person with a wealth of knowledge. He has a warm and welcoming demeanor that makes you feel instantly comfortable. Anyone would be fortunate to number him among their friends. What stood out most overall was the balance between professionalism and hospitality. The staff gave us space to relax but also made sure we had everything we needed. For a non-drinker like me, the availability of club soda with lime was much appreciated, showing they cater to all preferences. I was just visiting my brother who lives in the area and he took me to this cigar shop. I’m so glad he did! What an experience! I’m not a cigar aficionado by any means but this place blew me away. Not only is the shop itself amazing but so was the owner, Derek (Derrick???) 😬. He took the time to show us around, point out some amazing cigars, give us a brief history of the place and how he got started and also just had some good conversation. It has a great outdoor area as well as an attached “speak easy.” I can’t wait to be back in the area...
