I approached Rocking J Stables expecting an ordinary equestrian establishment. But oh, how my perspective was delightfully upended!

The barn and pastures look like something out of a movie. The grounds are meticulously tended to ensure the horses always have something to graze. The horses have constant supervision by knowledgeable, capable, and caring staff who are all well-versed in horse care and emergency procedures. Not only is the facility pristine, but the members of the barn community are friendly, courteous and always willing to assist you or your horse in any way they can. It's easy to spend all day at the barn just talking to people.

You will be hard-pressed to find a kinder, more effective trainer and barn owner than Anne. When managing the barn, she displays the utmost integrity and concern for the welfare of all of the animals in her care. As a trainer, she is thorough, safe, and clever in her use of various tools in the process of teaching, such as back braces, crops, video footage, and stretches. She knows how and when to push in order to make you a better rider (or pair), but never makes you feel unsafe or pressured to do something beyond your capabilities. I've been riding horses for over 18 years, and feel more at home at Rocking J than I have in my entire experience as an equestrian. I just read a review of how they don't respond to phone calls or text. And I would have to agree. For what ever reason they are ghosting their potential customers. I've been calling for about a week and text which the message says that it would be easier for the host to respond to on their answering machine. But to no possible success. I don't know if they are purposely screening calls or to what purpose. Either way it is not good business practices. I've left plenty of messages and there's been plenty of opportunity in time to reply to these messages. But for some reason they will not respond. It's crazy that today you have to force people to take your money for a honest good days type of work. Today customers are not being appreciated nor the fact that they are willing to take your money but not giving you quality business transactions. I would have had liked the experience of interacting with these people and having an experience with the horses doing an event that I wanted to hold. But it looks like it will never happen and I will get some kind of disingenuous reply saying I'm sorry no one listened to you. Without making any effort to fix or rectify any of the problem.
