Homer B Johnson Stadium — Attraction in Garland

I'm from Washington state and was in Texas for a family wedding, and on a Friday night in November I decided to see what Texas High School football was all about. The only game near where I was staying was at this stadium, which was a nice facility with plenty of seats... but no roof over the bleachers. It had been raining so everything was wet, and I was stunned that only about 100 total fans were in the stands to watch the game. No pep band. No student section packed with hyped-up high schoolers. The ticket workers are rude. My husband was already inside and wanted to upgrade his ticket from general admission to reserved seating and they made me purchase a new ticket at full price. When I questioned her policy she said she has work here 33 years and it's always been the policy. I told her I would be doing a negative Google review she said go ahead. The Garland Covid-19 vaccination center was very well organized and super fast. I brought a book for the line, but they had multiple lanes with staff at each. Took less than 5 min from arriving until we were parked & asked to wait 15 min. in case af allergic reaction. Someone checked on us periodically. They even wrote the time on our windshield in wax pencil. I only wish they'd wiped it off when letting us know we could go. My wiper fluid just made it a greasy smear. A paper towel took care of it at home. Good...
