I was advertised of this service through peach jar from Wylie ISD; excited to sign my daughter up for a “free trial” even with it being in Garland. We arrive to the building (looks old, small, and run down, but I can overlook that if the people inside are nice), it was drizzling rain and an older woman named Priscilla comes to the door and speaks to us as if we are bothering her at her own residence. She begins by asking us what we’re doing there, who we are, states she doesn’t work on free trials and doesn’t know our daughter or doesn’t have a “my daughters name” on her list today before inviting us in out of the drizzle. (I also had my 9 month old in a car seat outside with me.) She asks who we spoke to, keeps mentioning herself not doing free trials at this location, and needs me to get on the phone with Annie who set everything up. She takes several minutes to get back to us while she sorts everything out and comes back to us with, “ok who I am giving a lesson to.” Uh, yeah right lady, I’m not leaving my kid in a room with you. My husband and daughter were both put off by her unwelcoming behavior and we chose not to proceed forward with our business. Yes, we were expecting not to pay this first one to ensure it was a good fit but had she used the time to just figure it out, and show my daughter a few things (it was only for 30 minutes & there were no other students) she would have had an ongoing subscription. It is my opinion that this business is disorganized, lacks proper communication amongst each other and their customers, and the piano instructor Priscilla is not pleasing to work with and lacks good service. A simple “I don’t have your daughter on my list, but come on in while I figure this out” would’ve worked just fine. Update: This business saw my review and will not leave me alone, and continues to make excuses for the piano instructor. “Basically, she is very nice, but gets nervous (because of all the shootings and violence) when there is something that is not on her schedule and she is there by herself. I talked to her about how she presents herself- but from now on, we will be there every Saturday morning because our Saturday classes are starting up.“ For anyone’s information. Breitling performing Arts, please let me alone and throw away my contact information. I’m clearly no...
Read moreI had to take my previous review off when the owner wrote a reply and put my child's name on it. Here is the previous post and response. The owner is horribly disorganized, as well as the classes. I have so many examples of this I don't know where to begin. Emails never being sent, information not shared with parents until months into the program, not giving the parents correct times for dinner breaks, opening night being delayed 40 minutes so the kids could finish their second run through(the kids were there from 12-7 and the program was supposed to start at 7) etc. I could almost forgive this and give them a few stars if it weren't for her own son cussing out and threatening my sister and mother at opening night because they could not find my child. His behavior was unacceptable as well as her (the owner) trying to stand up for him. My daughter also informed me that he had been mean all-day. He told her to stop or she would not perform that night. It's not exactly what he said to my daughter but how he said it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Update Thank you for your response it truly shows how you do not take responsibility for anything and how unprofessional you are. Yes that was the most important thing because my child worked hard but after he spoke to my child in that way she did not feel comfortable coming back on Tuesday. I addition you have been working with my child since March and still can't spell her name correctly, I guess that is why you never ordered her a shirt. In the end I will not recommend you to anyone have...
Read moreUpdate: The camp has been completed, and my daughter is now enrolled for another and monthly classes. I wanted to update because they are well deserving of it! There is so much LOVE and RESPECT for children running through the veins of breitling. We were so impressed with the performance that had been put together after only two weeks. I can't believe all of this is done from the garage. Excited to see the magic that comes from them after having a larger space. Help Support Breitling Performing Arts! It's an incredible program that’s truly changing young lives. They’re currently running out of a garage and working hard to purchase a new building so they can continue providing a safe, creative space for kids to grow and thrive. The staff is passionate, caring, and absolutely dedicated to shaping the next generation through the arts. Personally, they've been a light for our daughter. Excited for more! They genuinely deserve the support! 💛
Original: My daughter is enrolled in a two week camp and absolutely loving it! She talks about the fun she had from the time I pick her up until she goes to bed. I love how accommodating Annie tries to be with the parents. She offers watching over zoom, and it really helps calm the nerves when your sending a younger student in. I will update my review after the two weeks have ended. However, so far we'll definitely be enrolling in more of...
