Food Lion — Local services in Gastonia

I’ve only made 2 or 3 online orders this year. Both paid in full otherwise I wouldn’t have received the orders. The last order was July 3rd. Received the order on July 4th at 11am. On the 5th of July at 11pm foodlion to go order took $40 out of my account. And then at midnight food lion again hit me for another $10. I had no orders placed. I had no outstanding balances(which you can’t do given you wouldn’t had received any delivery order). Me and my husband called the store and spoke with manager and they said they couldn’t and wouldn’t help. So we called the customer care line and they couldn’t give us an answer on why this happened. They kept giving us the run around. So eventually they said well you just have to call your credit card company and dispute it with them. Please someone tell me why they charged us $50 dollars on something we didn’t order, no orders were placed. And why they took money out of my account 2x in the span of 2 hours?? And then the store and then the company can’t take responsibility for the mistake. I’ve shopped at this store for 20+ years. Never ever had any issue ever. And now there drafting out of my account, unauthorized, making that certain card go into the negative. Which I’ve never been in the negative ever with my card. I’ll never shop food lion ever again. If they steal money and make excuses, then I won’t contribute a penny to a dishonest company. It’s called being a thief. Walmart will be now getting our business and money. Alright, Food Lion. This is not cool. This is easily EASILY the fifth order that I've received from Instacart with expired or spoiled food in it. I'm certain that my shopper today went to this location. I'm pretty sure my others went to this location, but not certain.

These pizzas are MONTHS expired. And this is at least the third time I've either had my shopper not purchase them or had Instacart credit them to me.

I've thrown away spoiled Jimmy Dean sage sausage immediately after receiving it because it was completely spoiled. I've thrown away chicken multiple times because it was spoiled. I won't buy meat from Food Lion anymore because of this. I even had to throw away gnocchi that was months expired.

The protein bowls are expired. I get that they're nonperishable, but they shouldn't be on shelves to be sold while expired.

I shop Food Lion for non perishables in general because I save money on them. But I think I'd rather pay more and not get spoiled food.

The pickled onions pictured below aren't technically expired but something is not right. The one on the left was purchased a couple of weeks ago. You see the color difference. It's dramatic.

I love going in this Food Lion on North End of Gastonia towards Dallas on New Hope Road the girls in there make me feel very welcome and glad to see me every time I come which is everyday the management there's one manager in there I think her name is Ellen she has a tendency of showing partiality towards some of the girls and I go to the grocery store to shop I don't go to the grocery store to hear her complain and down somebody because of their size and she does it a lot there's another woman in there she's newly come I think her name is Anita she is not friendly at all I experience with her a few times I thought it might be me but it wasn't on went to go get in her line on one and she turned around an closed it off and walked off and she knew I was going to go in that line that's just not how you do business but that's my opinion they was was one manager in there her name was Karen she recently retired if every store had a karen you could keep nobody out of there cuz she makes you feel like one of the team members not only a team member but she makes you feel like one of the family members she is what kept you going back.
