This section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is absolutely beautiful and astounding. The area to park and start your adventures are just a very quick drive from the Gatlinburg area. From here, you can make a beautiful and scenic hike, that is not too difficult, and see quite a few different waterfalls and many other really neat geological features. When you get up higher on some of the ridges, you get an amazing view over the tree covered rolling hills. I went in February and the weather was beautiful and the snow covering the tree tops was...

Incredibly beautiful scenery. We went during July of this year and lucky us, we were at the top when we watch a storm roll in, clouds engulfing the brilliant green mountains and valleys. Looking down at the density of the trees, one feels they could tiptoe along the lush canopy - a rare treat. This place is a must visit for anyone living in the eastern part of the United States.
