The Collector's Kid — Local services in Geneva Township

If I could give The Collectors Kid more stars, I absolutely would! Surfsandtrees and I have been coming to Carl, Liz, Gavin and Daryl for our Pops since 2022 before they moved to their new location next door in Batavia.

And of course Dan the man! Seeing him at The Collectors Kid on Sunday after my kidney surgery reminded me of why I love people so much ;) The location where I was able to obtain my beautiful Bulma card from Dragonball Z and Lion King 100 Disney card. The moment you walk through their doors you'll be transported to a world of nostalgic toys, sporting and Pokemon cards.

Besides their endless inventory you can get lost chatting with these marvelous people. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for their work in their products and customer service is so amazing! Shelves top to bottom and walls decorated with beautiful posters, bags, skateboards, and Pop Funko grails!

Whether you're a collector or just someone looking for a unique experience, The Collectors Kid is a definite must-visit in Batavia. This location is a 1hr drive from Chicago where I live. Yet I have visited 3x in 1 week! That’s a lot of gas but it was worth it! I traded some sealed Pokémon product to purchase Charizards I was after which they had in PRISTINE condition. I knew I had to get them because there was no other place that had cards this clean. I left super satisfied and kept returning to purchase plenty more cards. If you’re into sports, they have the closest prices to retail. By just visiting as well I got entry’s into a raffle for a ps5. I was there with my little cousin and he also got to enter and he received a free pack from the gentlemans working this store. Really amazing gesture as he had no money and was just watching me buy things. He also left super psyched over it. An incredible experience from the moment I walked through the door. The Collector's kid had everything from Pokémon to all types of Sports cards, vintage toys, and vintage video games.(they even have PS5's!) The prices were extremely fair but what made me the life long customer was the experience. While I was in the store the owner was helping educate the kids. He was friendly and respectful. You could just see the glow on the parents face as he was talking to the group of kids. Both gentleman working the store were helping everyone out. It was a warm atmosphere.
