What a terrible school. By this I mean what terrible staff.
The faculty doesn't know what is happening 90% of the time. I have wasted thousands of dollars at this school because of communication issues. You can clarify with multiple people but you are SOL.
They only cater to those in the age range of 17-22. If you are a working person (real job) and trying to support a family they do not offer services such as night classes to help you succeed. I’ve talked to many in this situation and they are always having a rough time as I did.
Avoid if you care about not getting a politically one-sided academic experience. If you are conservative in anyway you will be shot down and this is coming from someone who isn't conservative, but cares about everyones opinions.
You wonder where your money is going as you sit in a classroom with molding and paint falling off the walls, ceilings cracked, and internet issues continuously.
The professors are 50/50 when it comes to professionalize and quality.
The campus is beautiful except for the fountain that never seems to be working yet they fill it up and waste gallons of water.
The library is great and the librarians are top notch.
But the 2 stars is all I can give after being here 4 years. The business department will not break down cost no matter how many times you ask, I’ve even had my emails ignored by someone named Judy. Could you be anymore unprofessional when you are working with someone paying 20K+ a semester? She was really the last straw in a long line of staff that I had to be in contact with. Still never got costs broken down after asking 3 times.
Tish in financial aid was the best person I had worked with when it came to paying my tuition.
This school is average if not below expectations that they market to you.
Be carful.
UPDATE: We are approximately 2 weeks out from classes starting. Just got a notice that my student loans were not correct after having talked to 3 different people trying to get everything situated. $2,100 bill 2 weeks before school. I am a college student that pays for my classes myself.
I really hope someone that cares and is from this school sees this and makes adjustments to their billing and financial aid process.
This is what you...
Read moreRight in UT-Austin's backyard is this gem of a liberal arts college that is everything UT-Austin isn't. The atmosphere here is intimate, the academic program is personalized, and the education is about critical thinking, synthesis and analysis rather than professional preparation. This is no far-flung locale. The college is in rapidly growing Georgetown, which is a bedroom community for Austin and is part of the Texas Hill Country. It's a small, beautiful campus of Hill...
