I enjoy early morning sunrise hikes with my dogs. The dog park here is mostly gravel, but fairly spacious. My dog sustained a puncture wound to her ear by another dog while there so we avoid the dog park and just walk the trails. Been coming here to paddle board for years. What a gem! Most decent lakes in Maryland prohibit paddle boarding so I am grateful to have such a great location. Calm, easy, beautiful. Lots of wildlife - birds, turtles, fish, and even beavers from time to time. Clean water. Plenty of shade. If you go out past the bridge it's quiet. What more could you ask for in central Maryland?
