We have visited Winter Lights at Seneca Creek State Park for several years. This is well done. This year they have continued to add more lights and make it a lot easier for drivers and participants to enjoy the lights. Tickets are purchased in advance and the set up to get you into the park and on your way is well done. The roadway is well marked and easy to follow and safe for driving. We went this year after Christmas and it was very well attended. Arrived at 8 pm in inclement rainy weather, but that did not stop many others. Cars moved at a nice pace through the attraction and it took us about 20 minutes to drive through the 3.5 mile course. I have included some pictures below but they aren't the best. But hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect. Lots of moving displays, arches over the road and other light displays. They even have some lighted displays on the lake! It's a fun night for families and anyone who enjoys this type of activity. We had a great time and I hope you do as well.

It was great! Our first time going just all adults but we had a great time. Lights were fine spaced out far enough to go slow about 5 to 10 mph at the most. Only posting two pictures. Do not want to ruin the surprise for everyone. It's worth the $25 bucks. You definitely have to pay ahead. There are lots of signs telling you prepaid tickets only. Do not wait until you get to the booth. Cash will not work. Must buy ahead of time. If you feel comfortable enough, it would be courteous to turn off your headlights and only leave your running lights on. There's usually enough cars in line to be able to see where you're going

This is just a fun event to drive at night to see the light decoration in the park. We did notice a few additions this year, which is great as well as seeing the year after year standards; the castle, the twirling gingerbread, teddy bearland and the light tunnels. The best time to go is during the weekdays, it's a few dollars cheaper and since it's more sparse you can really slow down and take your time. My only recommendation would be that ALL cars were required to drop down to parking lights. Headlights in your mirrors or coming at you really take away from the beauty of the decorative lights.

My experience at this light show:

Came to the pay booths to show my ticket and then asked the person working what the rules were. They told me the only rule is to not drive faster than the person in front of you. There was no mention of the ride can only be one loop. There was no mention on the eventbrite ticket or ticket itself. So when started driving there was someone following me too closely I felt the need to drive a little faster. I thought that I could go through the loop somewhat fast and then just go slow the second time. So when I finished the loop I went back to the pay booths and asked if we could just do one more loop. They denied our request and we were left frustrated. If we were told that rule, then we would have driven much slower.

I really wish they start putting on their eventbrite ticket details about the...

I went here a few times with my family when I was younger and enjoyed it- that is the only reason I give it more than one star. Now that I live in the area I have grown to despise it. Getting home has become an absolute nightmare and it’s disappointing to see the utter disregard of those that live in the surrounding area. Last year was absolutely terrible, getting home from a long day of work only to stand in a never ending line of cars for hours just to get to my neighborhood. I truly hope that this year will be better with the requirement of pre-purchasing a ticket. We literally couldn’t leave the house after work last year to run errands or do anything at all (and barely made it home to...
