The adult owner/manager, Bob, has a hard time keeping employees. He regularly insults both teenage and adult employees. Swears at teenage employees. Has publicly pulled items off shelf and thrown them on the floor if unhappy with stockworker's job. Everyone fears him. Terrible way to run a busines and to treat human beings, especially local high school teenagers. Super disappointed in my son's first job experience. I have lived here over 20 years loved Gardners I gave brookside a chance early on they were solid good selection fresh However I asked if they would carry hood smart milk they sad of course they never stocked it after repeated requests if they said no but to lie and say next week over 3 months time and then some of the foods were out of date when I showed them they said they would remove it at once I came by only to see even more out of or passed date items on shelf now I shop at highland park and don’t mind the extra distance a much...

I'm here like 3 times a week honestly! They have the freshest selection of quality meats in the area. Often there picking up good looking ground beef, steaks, and sometimes we have sandwiches prepared. Everyone working has always been kind and helpful. Even though it is a smaller store, shopping there is always quick and easy. Love that it's so close to my house as well! Only complaint is that they do not carry cherry coca cola! But I've...
