Village Wool is a gorgeous gem of a shop, hosting a beautiful selection of yarns and accoutrements. What a shame then, for over the course of my many years as a knitter, for me to feel consistently patronized, degraded, dismissed, and ignored as if I have nothing to contribute to any conversation. For me, knitting is not about the purchase, it’s about the community and the social aspect. I would love to call Village Wool my local yarn shop, but with the consistent rudeness I’ve experienced despite my attempts at kindness and patience, I’ve had to finally resort to purchasing online as a means of cutting negativity out of my life.
