Food Lion — Local services in Goldsboro

This location has a few rude employees. Not all, but a few. On Monday, Feb 20th around 5pm, I had an incident where I wanted to check out a hand-basket of groceries. I saw an open register (light was on) with 2 employees talking at the register. As I placed my groceries on the rack, I was told by 1 of the 2 employees that this register was closed. I then went to a different register I believed was an 'self-check out', I was then told by the same employee that it was not a 'self-check' out register. At this point, I went to a new register and got in line.

I was in line for literally a few seconds when the same employee shouted she could check out someone at register 6. I looked up, assuming she was talking to me, and I immediately noticed she was talking to those behind me who weren't in line yet. That was very offensive to me. I could not understand why didn't she just check me out at a different register if the one I went to was closed? Why was I not a priority, but those behind me were?

But to make matters worse, the 2nd employee whom I saw initially shouted the same thing to others who were behind me. Both employees who saw me make my way to the initial open register( which I was eventually told was closed) for whatever reason chose not to me ring up at a different register. This was so offensive. It was like I didn't matter. But moving forward, I will not shop at this...

I want to take a minute and give the Deli a HUGE THANK YOU for all your did for our Company Christmas Party!! I ordered SEVERAL Platters (Online) and LET Me Tell YOU they were ALL ON POINT! (I went in a checked on them a couple days prior to our party and they had the order ready to fulfill) They had me set up with plates, utensils along with condiments of which I am going to be honest I never asked for. Prior to my arrival they ahd all trays loaded and ready to go! All trays were BEAUTIFUL!! I can not tell y'all enough how pleased I was when I unpacked these trays. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for all you do!! Thank you for all the love shown when I checked on the order and when I picked up the order. My Heart if So Full...

Normally I enjoy going to Food Lion because of the MVP prices... but I won't be coming back to this one. Their meat department should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people, especially during inflation. If I buy a pack of two chicken breasts, is it too much to ask for to expect it to contain two FULL chicken breasts? I opened the package yesterday and found that they hid a bunch of fat and nasty bits of bloody meat underneath them to make the weight heavier. At least a THIRD of the weight was unusable and had to be thrown away. Disgusting. Corporate should be aware of their shady and...
