Martin's Super Market — Local services in Goshen

Disappointed in the disreguard of food safety practices by a single individual in the deli. Ive noticed on several visits that this individual has coughed into their hands then proceeded to use their hands to serve fried chicken to waiting customers. Ive personally witnessed a concerned customer, who was being helped by this individual, explain why it wasn't sanitary to cough in your hands and then proceed to serve food.

As this is my primary food shopping market I now have to pick and choose when I purchase food from the deli. Further more, younger cashiers lack proper etiquette when greeting or being greeted by customers. Its a small part of the experience when shopping but goes a long way. While standing in line, the cashier proceeded to have a friendly conversation with the customer. When it was my turn to checkout, I was not greeted nor given a response when telling the cashier thank you. The cashier went even further to tell me that it was inconvenient for them to charge me for 2.5 gallons of water when water is charged by the gallon. I felt ignored and disrespected. I hope this post reaches management as changes to worker placement within the store...

I usually stop in after work to grab some mojos and chicken, and some salad from the salad bar. The salad bar is best and freshest first thing in the morning, besides the eggs, they’re frozen as is some of the meats and other dishes. I don’t appreciate that. Also some of the people they hire has no etiquette at all. One lady constantly used the same rag to wipe around the soup bar and the salad bar, with no rinsing or change of towel in between. One lady grabbed my chicken and mojos with her hands, and I told her I didn’t want it. Also when you get deli meats, some of the employees act as if that’s the last thing they want to do, especially if they have to use the meat slicer. One lady actually licks her tongue out at you constantly and it’s just a no go for me. I’ve found many flaws, it may just be me, but I’m very clean and when I walk up to the counter and the employee is wearing gloves already I ask them to change them, I was raised different, I don’t want no germs and I highly highly glorify cleanliness, time I see one flaw, I go spend my money elsewhere. Martin’s may have a good reputation in the community, but they hire nasty people that give...

Uncrowded in and out shopping lots if parking friendly polite helpful staff great produce good selection of meats,deli had great cuts on ham n turkey and cheese decent prices for soda in and out shopping big name with a small town local old school grocery store feel the cashier was very friendly and was even ok with my silly demands of some products being in plastic and some stuff being in paper bags didn't even complain when I changed my mind a few times on bag selection and then forgot some stuff and had to go back thru the store several different times and after all tht forgot my wallet in the car which took me 20 minutes or so to get cus it was stuck under the seat and when I went back in to pay I realized my wife had my card in her purse still in the car so had to go back out and get it from her which she didn't really remember where she put it in her purse after all the cashier was still there with a smiling face and even jokes around about how forger men can be and shydve let the misses come in and do the shopping we both laughed and laughed and agreed tht tht was...
