The Vets and the techs are very qualified and kind. My dog is a traveling dog and we've been to Vet Clinics all over the US and Canada. (I appreciate this GF team). With that said, I am having a miserable time getting a prescription. Normally, I get the prescription and I pay for the "Heartguard" at the vet clinic. I was told when I called them after my dog's appointment; was that the only way I could get this very common prescription was by purchasing it online. Alright, a little ODD, but alright, so, I order it online. I put the Vet clinics info in on the PetSmart site and pay the $80.00 bucks. Then the next day, PetSmart calls me and asked me to call the Vet Clinic because they (All Pets) aren't answering emails or responding to their calls.(?) So, I call the Clinic, and I find out....Now... wait for it..... 'The clinic will not respond to call ins or email prescription verifications.' So, Im like "The Hell you say!?!" I was sarcasticly educated by a lady from the clinic (who as pleasant as wire brush on your bunghole!) "That I should have tried Chewy.com!" So, let's stack these blocks up: 1. I drop almost $300.00 to have my dog seen by a well qualified Vet 2. My wife who brought my dog in paid All Pets for this for premium service. 3. My wife was handed a prescription without an explanation of where to purchase a 'perscription' for my pup who has less than week before he needs his next dose of Heartguard. 4. I call All Pets and I'm told to order it online. 5. I order the prescription on line from PetSmart. 6. PetSmart calls me and informs me that All Pets will not confirm the prescription, and that I should call All Pets. (Otherwise the only other option is to snail mail my prescription that I've already paid $80.00.) 6. I call All Pets and I am informed they won't accept call ins or respond to email prescription verifications from suppliers. 7. I was told very pleasantly (NOT) by All Pets that I should have called Chewy.com. To sum this all up: I had my dog taken to All Pets primarily for a prescription for Heartguard. I paid them, and they've made it very difficult me to get...
Read moreWhen my cat, LB, ruptured her anal gland I asked the vet if she could stitch up the quarter-sized hole. She told me it would be better if it healed on its own. So I waited and spent money on repetitive visits over the course of a month and i saw almost now improvement on her wound. Finally after the month the vet suggested stitching her up and she healed quickly. If she would have been stitched up when I first brought her in it wouldn't have burnt such a hole in my pocket.
Soon after I brought my dog in when he started limping. The vet told me that she was almost positive he tore a ligament and she would have to refer him for surgery in Casselton. When I reminded her that he had a heart condition she told me she couldn't refer him for surgery because he would probably die on the operating table. So she concluded our appointment with a bottle of Rimadyl and the idea that my three year old dog would limp around with a useless leg for the rest of his life. I decided I needed another opinion and went to Kindness. The vet immediately threw out the idea that Bleu's ligament was torn and also told me if surgery were ever necessary it could be done. Bleu's leg healed on it's own in two weeks.
The vet at All Pets has too many responsibilities to be running such a large establishment with only one vet. I felt as if she would rush through my appointment and always give me the worst news she could think of. At least she's reasonably cheap but Kindness was much better for...
Read moreAll Pets is All Good. All pets is really reasonably priced. My invoices for my 2 large puppies are significantly less than the last vet.(Ymmv) Everyone that wasn't actively engaged loved my dogs and took a moment to play/interact As a new patient I left feeling like I have been going there for years. I felt really welcomed Having XL dogs, the layout of the office is logical and made it is easy to take my boys to and from the exam rooms. It was not cramped and I didn't have to navigate through hallways or separate my ultra-excitable pups from other dogs. Help was everywhere. My mistake, Newfie and berner pup(under 6 months) can be a huge(lol) handful. Never again ... Despite this weak judgement call on my end, everyone chipped in and helped with my oversized chaos babies. It was the Pup comedy hour. TRANSPARENT medical treatment. Everything was a choice. If I was going to be billed for anything: options were explained PRIOR and they ASKED me if it was OK. They didn't fast talk me into anything.
The Vet was incredible. Techs were incredible. Overall 10/10 experience and my dogs didn't want to leave. They are the best. Tobin, Theodore(teddy) look forward to their next visit. They offered a coupon also. This comes last because it has the least influence on my opinion here. Saving extra money is great but, not the reason these guys...
