Went on a holiday weekend with two foursomes, most of which don't play very often - but we like to get together and play golf on memorial weekend. I got there early and ate a decent burger, had a drink and hit some range balls. Their range is interesting with a large pond for the first 100 yards and then some markers in the distance. Overall, the course has some trees on the fringes, but likely started out as a field. LOTS of man made moguls all over the course. The course tee boxes are beat up pretty bad. Maybe it was a hard winter? The greens are fairly good, but random patches of severely dry grass make judging the speed a little difficult. Being a holiday weekend, we did a bit of waiting to hit our shots and the twosome behind us was always waiting for us. The drink cart showed up just once on the 8th hole. We didn't want to make the group behind us wait too much so we just grabbed a couple things and moved on. The ranger visited us a couple times to check out the pace and we heard from him at the turn. To our first group he said, "2:30 minutes, do you think that is acceptable?" to the second group he said, "2:25 minutes, that should take 2:10 to 2:15." He said his name 3-4 times.. in case we complained I think. The reality is, he could have just said, "Hey guys, would you mind picking it up on the 2nd half?" We played the 2nd nine faster - we considered playing best ball because no one wants to play a pressured golf game, but just played more simultaneously. When we went to return our cart key one of our guys said something about keeping a faster pace on the back and he got some static about it taking 5 hours for the round. With all the choices of courses in Minnesota, we will not be back to this one. If that was the intent of the employees, then they...
Read moreBooked through Golf Now. When I showed up with my foursome, an hour before our scheduled tee time. I was told that I had been bumped 30 mins later because of a Golf Now problem. The pro shop then proceeded to charge me $40.00 extra dollars for the foursome, and they said there was nothing they could do. When I found my Golf Now confirmation email showing the dollar amount that I locked in, they reluctantly said, "ok, we can do that". They then proceeded to charge me an extra convenience fee, which I discovered later. They also had two girls who worked at the course tee off right behind us, and pushed us the whole day (even though we had several foursome ahead of us. When we made the turn, it appeared that they started sending people off the 10th tee, right before us. There were 5 groups on the 10th hole. Because of their management decisions listed above, we were able to play 13 holes in approximately 3 hours and 40 mins. Ok course, they blamed Golf Now for everything, but look like they...
Read moreI pre-payed online for three people playing 18 with carts and was then charged at the course for the full amount again. I have called the pro shop about 20 times but only gotten in touch with an employee twice. Whenever I am able to reach someone, they tell me that they are not able to help me with my issue. Seeing as this is not actually my issue and seems to be an issue with the tee time reservation/payment system, it seems quite wrong for this error to be on me. I would not play golf here again, nor recommend it to anyone else due to the complete lack of customer service. If you value your money - this isn't your place. I would love for someone to get in touch with me about this as I am unable to reach anyone to get my refund....
