Food Lion — Local services in Grantsboro

Went today and there was a cashier (short, blonde hair with the Karen hairstyle) doing nothing but waiting to scan someone. I was standing there for about 5 minutes and she wouldn’t help me until a young man working there told another cashier to help me. The girl that was supposed to help me didn’t acknowledge my presence or the African American customers behind me but once Caucasian customers went to go checkout, they were immediately attended, greeted with a big smile, even took groceries out of their cart onto the belt and were extremely nice when they didn’t do that to me or customers of color. I didn’t know customer service was based on the color of skin. Would’ve been one star but I’ll give 3 since the young man and lady...

This Food Lion is nice and clean. Sorry, but I've been to some that are not. Everything is clearly marked and the aisles are well stocked and organized. Again, some FL's are not. I only needed two things and wanted to look at the pricing on three other things. I was in and out in a little less than 15 minutes. I have been a little tired lately (No, not COVID!), and being able to get in - get out like this is a real blessing. The store parking is also nice and well maintained. There was a young woman taking care of the carts while I was there and she had the lot cleared and safe in that time frame. It was chilly going on cold, so kudos to you young lady, I know that...

When I leave a store feeling better than I did when I entered it, I take the time to write an online review. So here you go.

If you haven't been inside this store recently I encourage you to revisit. The interior has been overhauled and looks great. The produce and meat departments have been revitalized as well, all for the better. The cleanliness of the floors and order of shelves would have pleased a drill sergeant but I was most impressed by the cordial nature of the manager...
