We are loving our new Lopi Evergreen woodstove!
Salesperson Dan was very patient with my many MANY questions over several weeks while I decided between Vermont Castings and Lopi woodstoves and gathered quotes from other area dealers. He provided insights and, when he didn't know answers (particularly details about the 26% tax credit and stove model comparisons), he'd research them and get back to me quickly via email. We had to have our old stove removed prior to install so I could build a larger hearth. Dan arranged a flexible scheduling for the work and Brian and another tech whose name I didn't catch arrived on time and provided excellent service to bring down our 19ft stove pipe and remove the stove. Brian had to climb up on to our loft ledge and reach in a terrifying direction to unhook the final section.
Weeks later, when the hearth was ready, Nic and Kris made our difficult install (remember, 19ft stove pipe + angle pipes) look easy. All onsite techs were very patient with my and my dog's intrigue with their jobs and they kept explaining and advising throughout the process.
We opted for the fan for the back of our stove and it was a little noisy. I called Dan and he arranged for Brian to come out the following Monday (2 days later). Brian fixed it quickly, explaining what he was doing the entire time. Brian also advised me how to properly vent the stove when starting a fire, something that had confused me with the more complex modern stove.
So, to summarize, lots of great advice and insights from all involved, I did get multiple quotes and Sierra Timberline had the best price in the area, excellent service, excellent removal and install service, and excellent post install service. Just an all-round great experience. I highly recommend Sierra Timberline for your...

Techs were great, sales people were great, good experience all around in the start... Then:
Install got delayed because I was installing the floor tile pad myself, the techs came by, dropped off the stove, installed the chimney pipe, and told me to call them when the pad was done to finish the install. About a week later, got a call from a really unpleasant guy that acted like I was stiffing them on the bill and insisted that I pay the balance immediately, even though the install had not been completed (stove was sitting in the corner of my living room). After his shakedown, paid the full install fee (before install had been completed), then eventually got stove installed after I had completed the pad.
Fast forward, next winter, I had a chimney fire after having
Read moreThis is my second purchase from Sierra Timberline. The first was a Lopi Endeavor wood stove and everything went flawlessly with the selection, purchase, install, everything. Not one complaint. This latest purchase was an FPX (Lopi) gas fireplace insert and same thing, the whole process was easy and the installation went perfectly. The salesmen (Dan for the fireplace and Jared for the wood stove) never pressured me to select anything or even to buy at all, they just explained everything about all the stoves and fireplaces I was interested in and seemed to really like talking about the products. The installations though are a major part of why I would recommend this place. Unlike so many other things I've purchased, they don't just show up, slap it in and leave. They are actual stove and fireplace pros who seem like they really like their work and take it seriously and try to make everything perfect. Small details like painting every cut metal edge and including us when making minor decisions about the look of the install. After watching them work I have complete confidence in the installations. Thanks Nic and Chris, you did a great job, this thing looks great and I'm a very happy customer.
Update May 25, 2023: I had a VERY slight rattle in the fan motor and Larry came right out and took care of it. I'm really happy with the...
