Rick just saved our road trip from St. Louis, Missouri, to Staunton, Virginia, today!!! It’s 90+ degrees outside and the AC in my car stopped working. We were so sweaty and irritated and I was so stressed. We tried to stop and buy fans at a dollar general in the random small town of Grayville, Illinois, but we had no luck. My boyfriend walked over to an auto parts shop that just so happened to be next door, and they said we needed to go to Rick’s Service Station and ask for Rick. So, that’s what we did! Rick was so quick to help us. He was honest about the fact that he was really busy and that he potentially wouldn’t be able to fix it, but pulled one of his workers away from another repair to help look at my car. They were able to get it fixed in about an hour and sent us on our way. I tried to give him $20 to thank him for being so generous and making time to help us, but instead he gave me a hug and told me to give the money to someone else who might need it. If I could give Rick 10 stars, I would! We were traveling back to our home near Golconda, IL from Columbus, OH when our van quit at Mile Marker 14 on I64 West, literally the middle of nowhere at 12 o'clock at night! Rick answered the phone after having only gotten 1 hour of sleep and picked us up, dropped us off at a local motel and had our van repaired and back to us before 11 am the next morning! He squeezed us in, even though they had a full shop scheduled for the morning and had us back on our way in less than 12 hours! I cannot recommend Rick and his team more highly!
