I am torn on the review of this establishment.. on one hand, the meat yield and condition was Amazing. Very well done. Would definitely return on that basis. However, I requested a euro mount be done for my first Muley buck. Now this is very important to me, because it is my first big game animal ever. I dropped my buck off November 1st, 2023, and paid in full. I was told it would be the beginning of February 2024 for return. I can understand that time frame. It is now almost May 2024, I still have not recieved my mount. Everytime I call, they simply tell me they'll call me when it comes in. I am not at all happy with this. I feel they might have lost my mount. Definitely take your animal there for the meat. But save yourself the trouble and do your own euro mount if you hope to have that blank space filled on your wall anytime soon.
Edit to add: Dylan, the owner called to get pictures of my deer and was able to locate it from there! I guess the tags came off during the process. He was kind and professional. I am extremely happy with how my mount came out. It looks great on my wall....
Read moreShot a nice buck early on day one of our annual trip up north from Butte and rather than try to keep it clean and cool for four more days, brought it here. I have processed and butchered my own game for years so was a little nervous about farming it out. Requested it cut into primals and five pound bags of trim so I could grind and cut whole muscle jerky and to my surprise they didn't bat an eye. Two days later they called and said my meat was done, and on the way back home on Sunday I stopped in and picked up 75 lbs of meat, all nicely packaged, and done exactly how I would have done it myself and exactly how I asked. Couldn't be happier.
As a bonus, I also got the head done as a European mount and they let me know my buck had upper canines, which are a rare genetic phenomenon and a vestige of ancestral tusked deer. Can't wait to see the mount and if 406 does half the job they did on the butchering, I'll be thrilled. Won't be the last deer I drive down 87 to get done. Top notch all...
