Purchased a pair of work boots which stated oil resisting and slip resisting right on the shoe, but it didn't perform as so. I called them the same day to let them know they weren't holding up to what they were needed for (slip resisting work boots). I was told I'd have to wait until the owner got back in town so he could check with the manufacturer to see what could be done. Sadly neither the manufacturer or the owner were willing to exchange or refund because the only way it could be refunded or exchanged was if the shoe was falling apart. (at least this is what this is what the manager advised me) Instead they were willing to give me 30% off of another pair of boots if I found some I'd like to purchase.
Who the heck likes spending between 165-200+ back to back, oh wait, I'd get 30% off the second pair. To Whiteside's, If you trust the manufacturers you buy from and distribute in your store and you want to do right by the consumers in this community back it up with an exchange or refund because offering 30% off to purchase another worthless pair of boots from you all is insulting. Needless to say I will never shop here again and I'll be sure to advise coworkers and friends not...
Read moreTraveling welder/workwear store critic (apparently). I’ve worked across 14 states in the last 16 months and I try to stop in and grab a couple shirts, and check out the boot selection, anytime I see a boot/workwear store. This is the first store that has inspired me to leave a review. They have an extraordinary selection of work boots from Danner and Chippewa, to Cat and Wolverine. They don’t carry Thorogoods which was a bit of a let down for me to start, but who wants Thorogood when you can have Danners for the price of Georgia’s. Their sales were awesome, is all I’m sayin. As far as workwear goes they have a great selection of FR clothing. As I’m not in the need for FR right now I got a couple basic wrangler pearl snaps that were very reasonable priced. As is anywhere in the country, if you want/need FR, you’re gonna pay for it. Here you at least get options (or keep your tags and find a partner that can sew). The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on all products in question, and if they do keep a bit of an eye on you while you shop (have you been to Greeley) I don’t blame them. All in all I give Whiteside’s...
Read moreI created this review not thinking much more of it other than it had the full truth about my experience, plus I didn’t say anything rude, but if I happened to offended the person on the review, then they should not be working in retail, I was asked why I had taken down my review when why would I do that. I did not take down my own review, that supervisor really needs think things through before thinking it’s okay to act the way she acts. It being a small business I thought giving my opinion would be okay, but apparently it’s not, so I would really question coming into this store. Might have to stick with the store in Brighton if that family is gonna be running things better.
Original review - I came in to the store last week on 8/6/24 and apparently inventory or whatever was needed to be done on the computer and clip board than helping customers, can in and it was pretty busy too! From the looks of it the employees that I did see working were already helping out other customers or were even checking out people but one person seemed too busy to help, this employee needs...
