Adair County Health System — Local services in Greenfield

My husband was denied care here, I’m not going to go thru Steven’s health history publicly because that’s confidential. My husband does reside in Greenfield and they will not take him on as a new patient and I don’t know why. However it does sound like they are being discriminating towards his lifestyle of being a big man because he was in the hospital a few times down here because he’s not a well person. I try to explain to them that my husband has issues getting around that he cannot go to other places like Des Moines or Creston because he has a hard enough time traveling and finding the right travel service as it is. This place needs to shut down they do not care about people it sounds like to me that they care more about profiting off of the people they see fit for their clinic ONLY. so if you have a kit of health issues you’ll be denied If you’re not fit for their clinic they will let you know in an Unprofessional bedside manner and they will also be very discriminative towards you, again they don’t care. Family member is at nursing home about 30 feet from this hospital, and they charge over 2000 dollars every time they go get them. They run every test available, even if it's a fall with no injuries.
