I had gotten a protective style at the main location and didn't have any issues, therefore I wasn't worried about going to the UNCG location. I went for a blow out, treatment, and trim. I should have left as soon as she began combing my hair (my afro) dry. I have very kinky hair, and Sheila was especially rough and it even hurt. Didn't section it or anything. Just combed through it and pulled and tugged and ripped at it. In retrospect, I certainly should have said something. I believe she used way too much heat on my hair (a hot comb on my edges??), she said she would trim it ("half an inch"), but ended up giving me layers without my consent and even my mother noticed how noticeably shorter it was. I'm all for health over length, but don't give me something I didn't agree to.
She nipped my ear and got my the scalp around my edges with the flat iron, so when I got back home, it was sore and red. Not only that, but I left with so much dry skin on my scalp as well. So it's basically like I went through all that just for my hair to be dirty, and it's more apparent because my hair is dark, and now, straight. I don't believe she knew how to handle my kinky, Type 4 hair, because if so, she would have known that my hair type needs to be handled gently. I have been to places who give the utmost TLC to my tresses, so I was truly appalled with the way she handled my hair. My hair is thick, but it is very fine and prone to breakage, so obviously being rough with it will only exacerbate my issues.
Asides from that, she was nice, and I (hopefully) don't think I suffered any heat damage, by the grace of God. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed and this is honestly the reason I won't be visiting a salon anytime soon.

I wanted to come back and update. After a year of upset hair that just wouldn't respond well no matter how often or how much I trimmed, and then doing further research, it turns out I did have hair damage. I was sick of my hair being uneven and dry and split that I just decided to cut it all off. While this was by far the WORST hair experience of my life, and while I have heard sooo many people since then talk about how the UNCG location at least is complete and utter TRASH, I'm happy I was moved to let go of my hair. Also came to realize some time later that where that woman SHEILA burned my dang scalp when she was using a HOT COMB on my edges, she left a burn mark on the skin. You're very lucky that I did not realize this until much later or else I'd have had the best mind to sue you.
And you kept trying to get a hold of me at 9 at NIGHT. How unprofessional. I remember you saying you're in the salon all day, well I have business hours too. You clearly weren't concerned enough to make time to address the situation, not that anything needed to address because what could you do? Give me my dang hair back? Tuh!
And my one previous time going there didn't mean squat as it wasn't even white glove service. I had to do all of...
Read moreSo, upset and disappointed smh. I booked an appointment with Lexx 3 weeks ago for today. I arrived at 11:20 because my appointment was at 11:30. When I got there she already had someone in her chair so I decided to take down the my braids, which consisted of 2. I peeked through the door to let her know that I was there. Within 5 minutes she came out and said, "Hey, I'm running behind. Do you think that you can come back in and hour or an hour and a half or can you reschedule?" I gathered my things and told her that I'll reschedule. At that point I was heated because she knew that she had an appointment at 11:30, she also knew that she was behind, so why not do the RIGHT thing and call or text? It's like she she didn't want to do my hair at all, which is cool and of that'sto case she shouldhave said that. I'm sure the next hairstylist I go to will be better and a lot more considerate of people's time and money. Gas is no longer cheap and I despise wasting my time. The whole situation should have been handled professionally. Hopefully this review will help those of you who are thinking about going here. In my opinion, on this day, I would say don't waste you time. Find someone more...
Read moreI did not have a good experience at all at Posh Millennium. My hairdresser was over 30 minutes late to the appointment she called me five minutes before my appointment to tell me she had to step out and she will take no longer than five minutes. Well she took 35 instead all I wanted was a blowout in my hair was still frizzy and she told me “that’s just my hair” I have had plenty of blowouts that were professional in my hair was very silky with a lot of body. She also pressured me into trimming my hair. We had an agreement on how much she could trim but somewhere along the way she took 3 inches off of my hair. It did seem as if she did not want to do here that day and I wish that I would have walked out the door what she was late because the appointment started off bad I also feel like my hair was not...
