I wish I had something to honestly avoid a 1 star review and sound like Karen but I have nothing positive for this one which stinks cause the name got my attention. As someone who's been to flea markets/malls from Myrtle Beach to Jacksonville, and to Birmingham to Knoxville, I've seen alot.
First, the parking is the worst I've seen. This is clearly a busy place, but theirs 2x more shoppers than places to park which led to confusion on the entrance and once inside, a total gridlock at one point. Zero parking structure either with people just parking where they can/want. There is currently a car parked vertical behind the 2 cars beside me, blocking them in (I guess for a "run in" even though it's been there over 15 mins).
Once you find the entrance (but not the Spanish looking market with no sign that says Entrance and nothing else so you walk in and walk back out awkwardly), you open the prison bar looking entrance into a dim, almost video game-esque COD game interior layout and immediately get slapped by a noxious nasal assault of a "coastal forest in the desert during spring after being rained on by lavender" deadly combo of essential oils, only to rush past it and get a follow up slap of the same thing again. Once you survive that assault, you see pretty oriental knockoffs or "in person Temu" booths and urban knockoffs (Sikes, Pubu, Eddidas, Hucci, you get it), and a dude selling jewelry. If there was ever "Backrooms- Flea Market" area...I found it.
This isn't to "insult the business" as it was deff crowded and thats awesome for them and the community. But for those who are traveling 30-45 mins just to come here looking for antiques, coins/money, nerd stuff, nascar/auto collectibles, or art...
Read moreUpdate I am revising my review. After talking to my friends, the things that I didn't like are the things they love about the Flea. They also told me the booths I saw closed that Sunday were usually open on Saturdays. Maybe I was too harsh because of the downsizing I've been doing at home and being picky about what I want to bring home. That being said, I will try again on a Saturday morning when there should be more shops open.
We drive by frequently so decided to check it out. Parking was a nightmare with no organization, just parked cars and trucks at all sorts on angles and no room to maneuver. There were outside vendors as well as inside. Most of the outside tables were empty and for the most part it was jumbled with dollar store types of items with the occasional tool or electronics table. Inside was like stepping into a post apocalypse film. With few exceptions the booths were crowded together with narrow aisles and high makeshift walls. Like outside, many spots were closed up with tarps or sheets. The place was dark inside and the smell of old abandoned things hung heavily in the air. Many of the things that looked like something worthy of closer inspection were behind those makeshift barriers where we could not look. Maybe more booths on Saturday but we were disappointed with our visit, especially after years...
Read moreThe complete opposite of chivalry or basic humanity here. I had the occasion to visit while unfortunately only Petz store was open so I missed the potentially positive experience to peruse any cool vendors. We were trying to find my friends spare car key with an air tag on it. The air tag gave a signal clearly showing the back left corner of their lot. As the gates were wide open we entered and went to look. The staff came out after my checking the front door to see if there was a lost and found...but not to help, to scream at us and curse at us then call the police shortly before yelling at me it would have been faster to shoot us for being on his (open business) property. Will make sure not to ever do business there! Y'all beware they're a little loony!! We did have yo call the police as well since he chose to lock us in the parking lot then claim we were trsspassing....hmmm..the police did not agree or his right to...
