River Valley Feed & Metal — Local services in Greenwood

Wow, this is a super store! After moving to Western Arkansas, I was concerned about always having to drive to Greenwood or Arkansas to meet our farm's needs. Yes, the customer service is way better than the chain stores, but I check prices often, and almost always, River Valley has the same or better pricing than the brand name stores. If there's something you need and can't find it in the store, you need to ask to see if they can get it, because they often can. They also have bulk supplies in their warehouse barn. This is as close to a Home Depot or Lowes that Mansfield has and as such River Valley Feed & Metal holds its own. Staff greets you upon entrance yet knows enough to offer help once then leave you to do your shopping until you ask for help, this is a welcome virtue the franchises should master. I called shortly before the big snow storm a few weeks ago, asking about mulch for my garlic.
