Forest Country Store — Local services in Groton

We've been regular visitors to Stillwater State Park for many years, and always, without fail, visited the store. They had everything you could possibly need for camping - food, bug spray, meat, ice cream, fishing gear, ice, etc. We were saddened when they closed. However, this year we found that the store has new owners who are doing a ton of work to the place. We met one of them, Jess, (I think that is her name) and she was very nice. Was there over Memorial Day weekend 2022. Two elderly women were working there and were as rude as they were old. One said she was going to "b!tch slap" me if I did not give her the exact change. Not sure if she was trying to be funny or what, but to say that to someone who walked in to purchase something was uncalled for.
