Bueches Food World - Ortonville — Local services in Groveland Township

So, the only grocery store in abt a 12 mile radius, which, owners I'm sure are well aware of and not afraid to capitolize on, seeing no need to provide quality service or training of employees. Very high turnover, no one seems available or interested in helping, nor do they know where anything is. Very apathetic attituded Abt even learning. Very high prices compared to say VG Value Center in Waterford, which, is where I used to live and shop. Very similar type store, independent, but, much better pricing, employees attitudes and work ethic, likely due to competition with Meijer and Krogers. No competition here, so, I guess no need to make an effort. I wish I had other area choices without having to drive. Would really prefer Not to shop here. Don't even feel safe shopping here. Only good thing is they keep it clean. Heard from several neighbors and at least 1 worker, it used to be better when it was owned by...

There is a immense discourse in certain departments of this store. I feel that the great workers that they hire have been taken advantage of and the others severely lack work ethic. There is no team effort, nor is there any appreciation or gratefulness for the ones that work exceptionally hard. Human Resources doesn’t seem to have any skills to rectify poor workers that lay their responsibilities on others shoulders. No many take accountability for their own lack of work ethic. a job not done or completed can go to the other workers that come in. Instead of having great pride in a job well done. They are there to collect a paycheck at best. Discourse at work causes displeasure and stress among other things.

Something should be done maybe human resources with the owners can do something before they get more reviews like this and the entire store closes down. It’s a shame because it’s been open for such...

This store is extremely overpriced. I live close by but have learned the hard way to shop here for simple items that can’t wait for grocery shopping day. If you do choose to shop here be careful with expiration dates, especially with lunch meat or any raw meat. They are not vigilant about pulling expired food from the shelves. I’ve also come across moldy cheese that was packaged to be sold. The deli counter is another example of what not to purchase from this store. They have often pulled the bait and switch. You order Kowalski or Boars Head but they always go in the back to get the meat, they never show what they are slicing and when you get home it’s very obvious that they charged you for a top shelf brand but they gave you government bologna. I know what a clean well managed grocery store is and Bueches is not it. Save your time and lots of money and go a few miles up the road...
